The Stew Pot is the oldest restaurant in Snowmass Village. We operate every summer from June until October and every winter from November until April. We serve home-made soups, stews, sandwiches and salads and have specials daily. Contact us by phone for take-out orders and special events. (970)923-2263

This has been the most satisfying meal we’ve had in Snowmass. I had the chicken gumbo over rice. The others had the beef stew. Both were so wonderfully perfect. The service was awesome. We loved the cheerful music and will be back for sure!

We stopped by the Stew Pot around 8:30pm and ordered a few things to go. The waitress automatically charged us 18% tip, even though it was a takeout order. When we got home, we found out they messed up the order. We ordered green chili chicken stew but got regular beef chili instead.

It had the same vibe as Snowmass , when I came as a 12 year old in 1977. None of the pretension of Vail or Park City. I really appreciate that. We went early, at 5:30, so didn’t have to wait. The service was very friendly and low keyed. I had the steak stew special on mashed potatoes and my husband had Mountain Elk. They were both really good. Exactly what we wanted. A good portion but not overwhelming. Delicious and simple. And really reasonably priced! I am a very picky restaurant consumer . I appreciate a place that knows what it is and knows how to get the job done well and not make a big deal about it all. I wish there were more places like this in ski resorts. There were mostly families with young kids when we were there and everyone seemed really happy, which is saying a lot!

Local institution, friendly ownership and staff. Great food and drinks. You can sit outside with your dog. What’s not to love?
