The steak is expertly cooked, and the cooking fee is well worth it with buttery veggies and the best garlic rice topped with crispy fat. The garlic pasta pairs perfectly, the signature beef bacon tapa is a standout, the salpicao is mouthwatering, and the Caesar salad is, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had.
Service is excellent—warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout.
Since Steak.PH started as the country’s first steak home delivery service, you can also buy their frozen steaks and ready-to-cook tapa and salpicao to enjoy at home. I recommend The Steak Market and Steak.PH to everyone I know, and I’ll definitely be back.
The steak rice was a tad salty though, but still enjoyable.
Hopefully they do well enough to expand a bit, particularly the entrance area. Maybe borrow Meat Depot’s system before? Their meat storage is a spacious area separate from the dining area.
the service, however, i have reservations with. they seem to be confused who’s made reservations and not. we came to our reservation 10 mins early, but it seems they seated another group that was clearly not us cause they thought we were with them. the waiting time 15 mins past our reservation was fine, but there wasn’t even updates if we were to be seated already.
when they asked us to come in, they didn’t advise what seat we are to take so we just decided on an empty table and we had to ask for the menu. they didn’t have service water, so bottled water was fine but that also took some time even if it’s pre-packed.
i also don’t like the table by the door, but that’s just really an observation and personal preference. the layout really could be better, but i don’t have recommendations on that either haha. it just seems a bit too cramped and could be maximized, though i feel the intention is to accommodate more customers and maybe have a by-the-cooking-bar kind of seating where you can maybe watch the chefs cooking? having a small space also tends to make you smell more when you exit the store, the oily after smell did make my headache or maybe it’s just from eating too much steak lol. since it’s also a small space, you could also literally hear through the conversations from other tables.
what i appreciate most, though, is their intention of having a steak place where you don’t have to dress up. you can literally wear anything decent to come in and have your deserved slab of steak or two, no judgments. this was actually a recommendation from 2 friends of mine who i trust in this regard, and to be fair it is a good place with good and simple steak and salad that i would still come back to.
Also, don’t sleep on their salpicao. Hands down one of the best I’ve had in Manila. I actually find myself craving it from time to time.
The staff were really accommodating and made the whole experience even better. For the quality you get, it’s very affordable, especially for steak.
Only downside would be the parking situation — it’s mostly street parking, so a bit tricky. Also, they don’t serve service water, so you’ll need to buy drinks. But overall, still a top-tier spot I’d 100% go back to.
It’s the same concept as meat depot, paluto and etc.
My steak was cooked just right!
