A friend found a book that listed 100 things one should do in Rochester in your life and the Spirit Room was one of those experiences listed. We went with another couple and we are a few years older than their normal clientele. All I can say is we had a wonderful time, the decor can only be described as esoteric, from fun to morbid. You can entertain yourself just looking at the collection of wares. Food was excellent, started with loaded fries, and the fries were perfectly cooked and toppings we tasty. The 4 meals we had were all tasty and servings good size. Cocktails were different and tasty. We will be back, probably the most enjoyable evening out in a long time, and we go out several times a month.

Great little spooky themed place; the atmosphere is wonderful and the cocktails I’ve tried have all been very good, highly recommend! Really enjoyed the ragtime piano music too and the cheesy spooky cartoons being played on a projector while I was there, really complimented the vibe of the place perfectly!

This is truly a Unique experience and worth stopping in. They had two bands the evening we visited and although a smaller venue for a band it was very cool. They have a full bar and what a very interesting bar it is! The staff were all friendly and helpful and the decor is worth the trip alone. They also had tables out on the sidewalk to enjoy your drinks and hang out at. It’s in downtown Rochester and with the music it was a great night!

Lovely little bar with some great cocktails and fun, Victorian atmosphere. The food, while limited in selection, is all excellently prepared and delicious! The food prices I felt we’re very reasonable but the cocktails were a little pricey, but close to the going rate for most of the other Rochester cocktail bars. They also do psychic readings if you are into that kind of entertainment. Also of note is their selection of musical instruments, including a piano, that are available for those that feel like an impromptu open mic night.

It’s a very small establishment with cool spooky decor. A few months back I went to grab a couple of drinks and split a chicken sandwich with my SO. First few bites absolutely amazing. But after a few bites, I bit into the sandwich and it had a weird texture and snap too it. I look down in horror to see it was a raw chicken sandwich! I chewed and swallowed that mess unknowingly! My bf went inside and had to wait awhile as I tried not to vomit. Basically their whole deal is chicken sandwiches, I have no idea why they don’t use a meat thermometer. Anyway, they only refunded the sandwich, even though I had only taken a sip of my drink and was not going to finish it as I was feeling quite sick at this point. I added photos. As you can see, that’s a raw chicken sandwich. I was very disappointed in the whole experience, especially because it seemed like such a cool little spot. I still think about this all of the time. It was disgusting. One of the worst moments I’ve ever had eating out.
