Prohibition Era–inspired waterfront restaurant with a deck serving traditional Chicago fare.

Interesting place with big menu and plenty of seating. Our group of 4 visited tonight and got a table outside. The calamari was ok, but the sauce was not great. I had a lobster bisque which was not very good. Very little lobster and the soup was a weird color. The French onion was also very low on stock, but served hot. Two of us had flatbread pizzas and they were ok at best. The patty melt was the only item the we really liked. Service was good. Total bill was a lot higher than we expected.

We loved it here!
The deep dish pizza was one of the best we have ever had!
The crust was nice and crispy, and the sauce had a very nice tasty flavor.
It was a very windy day, so we were not able to eat outside, unfortunately.
So, we sat at the bar, and had a great time!
If you like being outdoors, and near water, this is the place for you.
While it’s a very casual restaurant, we totally enjoyed the vibe here,
It was a great find, and we will be back next year when we return to Florida.

I got two $7 drinks for a happy hour before 6:00 p.m. My husband got the boom boom shrimp for an appetizer, it’s tempura shrimp with chipotle sauce. He loved it so much he ordered two orders of them! We got the shrimp pizza. I feel like the shrimp was overcooked but it was very good. We both enjoyed ourselves there!!

We just love this restaurant. It’s very casual and laid back. Service and management are always pleasant and professional. Love eating with a water view. The array of food is amazing but more than that it’s so good. We have never had a bad meal. The Asian calamari if so so tasty. Saturday rib special is delicious with sweet potato fries, baked beans and cole slaw. Yummy. I could go on and on. Thank you everyone at Speak Easy.

Host was wonderful. Atmosphere is ok, tables shoved together left little room for movement once we were seated. Bartender was also our server and she was great until something ruffled her feathers and she stopped visiting our table. Five of us sat without drinks (water) for 25 minutes after getting our appetizer, and we even asked a table busser for water but we were ignored. We were just a few feet from the bar and the server most definitely saw us flagging her over between checking her phone and checking her phone again. Had we not already received the appetizer we would have just walked out….and maybe should have, since the table behind us sat down 35 minutes after us, ordered long after us and got their food about 20 minutes before us (same server, who also made sure their drinks didn’t go empty). Our wait was incredibly long with no explanation. Overall we sat in this place for just around two hours, not by choice. Food was good but so is the food everywhere else on Marco…you may even get good service and something to drink while you wait at other restaurants…crazy concept, right? I can’t say it’s someplace worth recommending or revisiting.

Enjoyed our visit. Food was good. 2 of us enjoyed the lobster dinner special that night and it was very good, price was very reasonable and portions were ample. Pizza was good also. Super thin. Nice canal front dining. Our server was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Nice atmosphere and location next to a water canal and nice menu. We enjoyed sitting by the water, despite a very hot day, we enjoyed the shade . The indoors was packed but we took our chances outdoors and did not regret it. I ordered my usual, fish and chips and my husband ordered a Phyllis Cheese that he enjoyed. The atmosphere was nicely created with photographs and corners, but did not translate into the service or food experience.
Nice but there are many similar options.

The Speakeasy on Marco Island is a hidden gem that deserves every one of its five stars! From the moment you walk in, you’re transported back in time with its charming, vintage ambiance. The drinks are expertly crafted, with a wide selection of unique cocktails that are both creative and delicious. The food is equally impressive—every dish is bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service is top-notch; the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you’re looking for a place to unwind with a drink or enjoy a full dining experience, The Speakeasy is the perfect spot. I can’t recommend it enough!

I like their Chicago style pizza but the Caprese salad and the sliders were really disappointing, I couldn’t believe how bad they were

Great place for “cool cats” to dine inside or out. Referred to me by a coworker and Marco Island resident, I walked into a bar & restaurant tucked away in the corner of a small complex to “check out the joint.”
A gentleman behind the bar introduced himself as Bobby Nash and he was so friendly and informative that I invited a friend to join me for dinner there the following week.
Being off season, we opted for outdoor seating & enjoyed a relaxing waterfront view.
I ordered the NY strip, medium rare, & my friend ordered their Two Tail Lobster Special, which is offered on Mondays & Wednesdays We chose to share our dishes.
We finished fresh salads that preceded the entrees before drizzling melted butter over the lobster tails & our choice of potatoes. The lobster tails were butterflied for a mess free dining experience and the steak was prepared perfectly. We even ate almost all of our vegetables, they were that good, before sharing a slice of their chocolate cake.
Everything was delicious!
It was nice to catch up on good conversation with a dear friend by the waters edge. Very satisfying.
Upon leaving, I think I spotted someone eating a big bowl of French Onion soup, It looked yummy. Perhaps their passphrase should be “Is mom here?” because these two ladies will definitely be back to eat with more friends.
