The beef empanada was the best one I’ve ever had ! The picadillo soup was tasty too! We were taken care of by the awesome Loralei! She was sweet, smart and funny! The dining area was relaxing with comfortable seating. They had beautiful loaves of fresh baked breads and lots of wonderful baked treats! Well worth the visit! Top quality and good value!

I was craving empanadas and I finally found this cute little gem hidden in downtown St. Augustine.
Beautiful location, very friendly staff, and the beef empanadas were absolutely delicious!! So flavorful!!

This lovely small bakery in historic St. Augustine is worth the stop! The empanadas are incredibly flavorful, with a flaky, freshly homemade crust. The owner is kind and authentic, and the atmosphere is festive and inviting!

This is not the same place as decades past. I’m a local and very disappointed with the changes that have been made recently with their food. They’re new owners and don’t have the old recipes, or have they’ve gone cheep. We used to enjoy their food tremendously and would stop every time we were in the historical area of St Augustine. Would take all of our family and friends from out of town there for fresh baked bread, soup, cinnamon rolls, pastries and lunch. Everything has changed. And it’s flavorless. The soup is watery, minus flavor or oregano that it used to have and thin on chicken and rice, the sausage rolls taste like Bisquick was used for the roll (and it doesn’t cover the hotdog), the empanada tasteless. So, so disappointed!!! I won’t be back. It’s not worth the high cost of the food. Locals have lost another good place to eat!

The Cuban was the best of the things we ordered. If it wasn’t for that, this place would get zero stars. Empanadas are baked in a dry flavorless dough. The picadollo inside was alright. The corn salad is gross. Not what I was expecting at all. 41.00 for a meal I would have thrown in the trash. Don’t waste your money if you’re into true Spanish food.

woman was nice . but over all not worth the price , cuban sandwich isn’t flavorful and it mainly bread and the “empanadas” are sweet, not right at all either . they look like a turtle shell and they’re dry !? and rice and beans are smooshed together and too spicy / no flavor .

We had three flavors of empanada. They were good. Overall everything was good but nothing spectacular. Had some key lime pie as well. It was pretty good. Had some Piccadilly soup also.

The lady who helped us was so sweet and the service was very good. However, the food was gross. My partner and I ate the caprese sandwich and shared a cinnamon roll, the pastry was super stale and the chicken on the sandwich tasted like it had been soaked in water. We couldn’t finish or even continue eating, and the total for our food was over $40. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was truly a bad experience

Love this place. From the most amazing Cuban sandwiches to the spicy and yummy mustard sauce this little eatery is hidden away on Saint George Street. Don’t forget the baked goods too! Sit out side under a cypress tree (way inland for it actually) and enjoy the beautiful florida weather.

From the very first time that my family ate there, around 20 years ago, we were hooked.
I’ve never been a fan of soup, but the soups from here are just amazing. Even as a teen on vacation with my family, this spot was on the list that I wanted to visit every time.
Now that I’m an adult, I carry that tradition on, because it’s just that good.
