Stopped here by chance looking for someplace to eat while in the neighboring town Roscoe. Glad we did because it was well worth it. The food was fantastic. The pork sandwich and the brisket were very tasty and delicious. Had eaten in a couple of other places in the area and it was disappointing and expensive. This places prices weren’t too high, and whatever you ended up paying was worth it because it was good. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Had lunch here recently, it was pretty good! When traveling Im always looking for craft BBQ spots to check out. A few things to note, ribs and pulled pork were over cooked. The half chicken was moist but WAY too bitterly smokey. Both the chicken and brisket had tastes of biter smoke which likely is a result of cooking with dirty smoke. Not sure if thats a result of using a propane smoker opposed to an offset or just not running a clean fire. I will say the fat was rendered nicely on the brisket. All of the sides were really good. I rarely come across good cornbread, and this one was good! BBQ sauces were also good. Id come back if I was in the area.

Awesome BBQ spot right off Route 17. The staff is super friendly and welcoming , the food is out of the world and everything is reasonably priced. We had the smoked wings (10/10), fried shrimp (perfectly breaded and cooked) and pit dog (snappy hot dog on a potato roll with mustard and cole slaw. Don’t sleep on the cole slow, get it as a side. I can’t wait to go back to try other things!

Stopped in yesterday while traveling home from the NYC area. It was a cooler day, which kept me inside and missing the nice seating area and pavilion-esque structure outside. You can tell this is a smaller, family run operation by the character of the property; this is not a commercial style where you get smoked meat done in several hundred pound increments. It is a smaller homemade batch style where the pit master can improvise and adapt as changes in the wood and the meat keep them on their toes. There was a nice smoke ring on the meat which was refreshing to see; evidently I wasn’t in love with the spice rub on the bark of the brisket but that is 100% my specific palette, and not reflective of quality- there’s a different spice blend for every person. I also found the sauces available a little on the sweet side for me, whereas I prefer a smokier style but they were certainly still fine for use with the brisket and BBQ dry rub fries I had.

Delicious! We had the pulled pork an and the pulled brisket sandwiches! 10 out of 10! The bread is so soft and sucks up the delicious barbecue sauce so well. We were so full after our sandwiched we barely had room for out tasty wings and fried shrimp! Love the outdoor pavilion to eat under.

Really good food – we had the BBQ chicken sandwiches. Great options for kids too (especially the french fries). Service was fast and friendly. The house made lemonade was really good. Plenty of outdoor seating.

My wife and I were traveling from NY to Cornell in Ithaca. We were halfway done our 4-5 hour trip when we saw a giant billboard sign on 17 West. On a whim, we decided to give it a go because we needed a break. We were skeptical at first but we were delightfully surprised by the experience we had. The owner moved here from Brooklyn, bringing a smoker purchases many years ago and still running in top form, at least by how good the food tasted.
