My sorority sister and I were hitting up hot spots in Brooklyn and Decided to add Simpson to the list since she had never dined there. We went online and made a reservation. We arrived 15 minutes early and of course we still had to wait. We asked to be seated in a booth but was sitted at a table near the bar.

I went to The Simpson Restaurant and bar for my birthday celebration. I had a awesome time. The staff was courteous and professional. We ordered Bourbon barbecue wings and coconut shrimp appetizers and the main meal was curry goat, white rice and in season vegetables, oxtail, season vegetables, rice and peas. Red wine, passion drink and the Simpson signature drink. I was surprised everything was delicious. I will definitely return.

Food is tasty, oxtail portion is small. But I’ve came here before and had other food that was under portioned. The service is their biggest down fall sometimes because the servers disappear and you have to go look for them. No apology about the wait or if anything is needed. Music and vibe is nice though. I’ve came here 5 times and it’s usually the same experience. But overall it’s still a good spot to eat at. The flavor is great. The employees are nice just not attentive enough for their guest.

Worth a try. Friends and I went to celebrate a graduation and we had a time! (Third time here) The atmosphere was nice and enjoyable, music was not too loud and ridiculous. You will enjoy the food also as we didn’t have too many complaints. Three things: my friend did not enjoy the salmon much as it was dry and overcooked, another friend got the Henney shrimp but it came with fries that weren’t seasoned and lukewarm, It also came with veggies not seasoned which probably should’ve been a tossed salad the combination was odd. Also my Friends said The rice and peas were a bit spicy. Other than that the food was good and the portion size did not disappoint. My lamb chops were well seasoned and cooked to my liking and the mashed potatoes and gravy it came with was good also. A friend had the jerk wings which were cooked well and we also had two orders of Mac and cheese which was good. This is definitely a place you’d want to check out when you’re in Brooklyn! Make reservations!

My mom went to this restaurant with her coworkers so she was excited when work hosted a conference here. The setup was a bit delayed because the restaurant thought the reservation was cancelled. It took some back and forth before we were able to get the private room. We started the presentation and maybe 45 minutes later the waitress comes in to take the orders. She went around to each person to take their order.

1st time dining here with my best friend and we had a ball. The food was delicious we would return again and again. The Simpsons is definitely hitting on something. I had braised oxtail with butter beans and it was so butter soft and good and a taste of my besties red snapper and when I return I’m feasting on the snapper it has such great flavor with a nice bit of spice . Scale of 1 to 10 I give a 10 . Server Alli was excellent and attentive and made us feel so at home. Drinks on point. I highly recommend this place.

THE KITCHEN NEEDS HELP ASAP. I asked for no ice, and that is the amount I got, I have sensitive teeth and can’thave the ice. Please do better with this. The waiter was good. I didn’t like how the chairs always made noise when you moved them. I suggest you go with a small group no more than 6 because the kitchen can’t handle large crowds. I ordered the Beyond Burger, and they gave me a beef burger. It took long to get my original burger, so I took it to go, and I got it for free.

Been passing by this restaurant for quite a while on my commute to work and through Downtown, Brooklyn. Always been meaning to try them out. Finally had a chance the other day after watching the Big3 basketball event with my brother. We walked over to this spot to try them out and get dinner. Place can get very busy so reservations is a good idea (ours was set for a later time but we got out event early, so we did a walk-in before reservation. They were able to accommodate us after taking care of others waiting in line). Hostess looked swamped with the busyness of everything going on, but she kept her composure and was very polite.

My first time dining here was a great experience! The food, drinks and vibe was great! The lamb chops were seasoned well and very tender! The honey curry wings had such a great flavor.Even though the waitress forgot to give my fiance a birthday shout out, I will be coming back to enjoy great food during my next trip in NY!
