Great drink (also called the salty snapper and also not very salty), yummy food, awesome music by Walt Dunn and dog friendly
We got crab on their “all you can eat special” it was unseasoned and bland and the butter didnt even taste like butter.
The drinks came out in styrofoam cups. When we asked why they said to stop condensation from getting on the tables. Yeah? Thats what coasters are for? This isnt a fast food resturaunt.
The drinks were also not great.
Luckily, the manager was very sorry and let us order something else. Our party got a variety of 3 dishes all of which were very “okay”.
You are competing with resturaunts like 306 and friends at those price points yet i can get better food at burger king.
On top of all of this my mother currently has terrible food poisoning.
We would have been excited to try the resturaunt again hearing they are re-doing their menu… AGAIN. We used to go to the original salty snapper all the time, but its hard to trust a resturaunt after their food makes you bedridden for an entire day.
Ordered two dozen… tried to eat the first dozen but they were just bad. Sent the second dozen back. Ordered the hush puppies also which were good. I had high hopes for their reopening, but the handful or times we’ve been it’s been nothing but disappointment. The vibe isn’t there, the decor could use some upscaling and refinement, and the food quality just isn’t there. For the prices they charge, this should be a top quality dining experience. I’m hoping they can get a handle on things. This place has the potential to be an amazing venue and restaurant with top quality food and entertainment … but they aren’t there yet. Beers were cold, and our waitress was great , and we appreciated her! She ended up taking the oysters off our tab as they were inedible. Hoping it will turn around soon. I’d hate to lose them again.
I always get the special and it didn’t disappoint. The spicy sausage dish was above expectations. My wife had the chicken parm and had the feel of homemade. Kid had the wings and no complaints from a fairly picky eater.
A solid go to in Valdosta.
The food was fabulous and plentiful for the price! My wife had the “best shrimp and grits I’ve had”. Raw oysters are absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite dishes! They usually have 5 selections, so you can have your choice of small, medium, or large and then of course creamy or briny. Of course, my absolute favorite, Tuna Poke. If seafood isn’t your thing, no worries, there are plenty of other scrumptious items on their menu.
We will certainly return when we are in town!
