Atmosphere, perfect! Staff perfect! Food, well I mentioned to Susie, our waitress that the fish was a little salty for me. My said it was perfect. Just me I guess. Couldn’t find anything wrong with the place. If you don’t go don’t blame me. Go! There’s music on the weekends.

We waited 25 minutes until a waitress finally took our order, this after we had to flag her down. After looking at the time to see how long it would take our food to come out, we finally said something politely to the waitress at 30 minutes and she said it should only be another 10-15 minutes. A few minutes later, the $#%@& of an owner stopped by and said it would be coming soon. We pointed out several tables who came after we did who had already been served, one of which had already had their meal and left. He said, “I’m not going to argue with you. This isn’t fast food. You can go to McDonald’s if you want.” The food finally came at over an hour after we were seated. The food was fine, nothing special, and had we not had elderly parents with us, we would have walked out. The owner was a complete jackass who you hope finds himself out of business. It would be nice to see a little karma.

Unfortunately, this was my first and last time to Salty Landing. I ordered the beer battered cod and shrimp combo. It was WAY overdone. I tried to eat it anyway but it was not only overdone but flavorless. At least my Mom’s salmon was ok. Our waitress didn’t seem to know how to handle the situation. I asked her to take it back to show them, but no comment was made. We paid the $28 for the most uneaten dinner and went on our way.

Celebrating our 12yr anniversary. Katie is a great server. Very attentive. The food was phenomenal. I had The bleu ridge mountains burger. It was definitely a mountain and really delicious. My wife had Mahi. She exclaimed it was excellent. We both had a long Island iced tea. The drink was made perfect, more like 101 percent perfect. Both very impressed.

What a fabulous meal! Kendall took great care of the 4 of us. The cod was tender, flaky and the batter was perfect, lightly crunchy with the right thickness. The shrimp po’boy was outstanding, again, very tender and not overcooked. The burger was juicy with delectable red onion rings (wish they were available for a side order…they were THAT good!). The key lime pie was light and creamy (some places use too much gelatin) and the carrot cake was delicious. We are visiting our friends from Colorado but we’ll make a point to come back on our next visit. Note: we’ve been traveling the US for 6 years in our motorhome and the seafood was excellent!
