The Rose Venice is a tasty spot for tapas style meals that are great for sharing. The food was pretty good but not extravagant. The dishes are a bit on the pricey side given the portion sizes but it’s okay quality. I was a bit disappointed, as I’d read that the food was incredible but to me it was lacking something. The wine list is pretty limited and again, quite pricey for what you get. The server was kind and allowed me to taste some of the wines before I made a selection. Atmosphere was cool but they had fans running into the evening on a not very hot night and I was freezing even with a sweater so highly recommend bringing something warm

Maybe the fact that there was a Bachelorette party next to us or that the restaurant has been raved upon too many times.

It’s a great place. My server was great, and the food was good, and the coffee was decent. It’s beautiful and very interesting because there are people constantly working on food, either baking bread or doing something and it’s very interesting watching them. It’s a bit pricey, honestly. But it’s a great atmosphere very friendly.

First off, the service here was amazing, sat at the bar and storm was an amazing guy. Great drinks and really good Korean chicken sandwiches, the sweet gochujang sauce blended well with the kimchi and crispy chicken. Also ordered the baller which comes with half a dozen of fresh scallops and oysters, really fresh and clean tasting. The ambience really makes it worth the money in a laid back, bistro/tavern atmosphere with lost of good natural lighting.

Very interesting choices on their menu. Extremely EXPENSIVE!!! Our server said that it was better to order 2 dishes (and share? We weren’t really clear about what she meant) but she did make it clear to us that there would be NO CHANGES made to anything we ordered so that it was served just as how the chef intended. That wasn’t a problem for me but I can imagine some diners may not like that.

Overrated in general. It’s a cute spacious restaurant good for influencers to take pictures of but the food was just mediocre and pricey. There is also a hidden charged called the “healthy LA 5%” for their full-time employees health care benefit, which I don’t understand at all. Shouldn’t the restaurant owners take care of their employees well being instead of placing a charge on the customers?. The lobster roll is the biggest disappointment of all. It was $33 on the menu but they billed us for $35. I wouldn’t mind paying that much if it’s amazing, however, it’s one of the worst I’ve had. It’s small and dry with some extremely salty chips on the side. They did adjust the price after I questioned them about the significant amount of price difference at the end, but I still find it ridiculous that they added a bunch of fees on almost every item we ordered without informing us!
