We stopped in at The Roman Oven on the recommendation of the staff next door at Cork & Keg, and we’re glad we listened. This is an authentic Sicilian eatery—no shortcuts, no gimmicks, just tradition done right.

We were seated and served by Pam, who instantly felt like a smiling Sicilian grandmother and somehow outworked people half her age. Absolute gem. We ordered a large deluxe pizza thinking it would cover dinner and leftovers—and it did. Even better, it reheated perfectly later, which says a lot about the quality.

I’ve seen a few reviews mention slow service. Honestly? When you rush food like this, you lose what makes it special. If you’re impatient, this probably isn’t your spot—but if you value authentic, family-driven cooking, it absolutely is. Go see Cesar if you’re in a hurry; otherwise, relax and enjoy.

We also loved learning that the family is truly Sicilian and keeps that heritage in everything they serve. Bonus: you can bring your own alcohol in moderation, which is super convenient with Cork & Keg right next door.

Fantastic pizza, genuine people

This resturant offers authentic Italian food. The Chicken Scilliana is delicious! Order yourself some yummy Italian dessert to end a perfect meal! Great little family owned restaurant. No alcohol sold on premises but they will allow you to bring your own wine and offer wine glasses for your use.

Throughout the 4 years. I came here like 10 times every time has been very good and very nice staff. Quick and easy to order. The food has been good every time. It is very comfortable in the restaurant they make you feel welcome. This is the closest I come to New York Pizza and Italian. Love this place. Pizza is very good chicken French and Italian pasta dishes are very good I could go on and ON!!

As soon as you walk into this restaurant, you’ll feel like you stepped back in time. There’s beautiful artwork hanging on the walls, along with pictures of their family.

There’s an overly friendly woman who greets us. As we were waiting on our food, we overheard the hostess joking around with one of her customers. It is wonderful to go somewhere that treats their customer like family.

The food was very tasty. I swore when I saw the size of my food that I would not eat it all, but I did. Their garlic biscuits are so soft, and I could eat a whole tray full.

The prices are reasonable. We spent $40, but that was our food, drinks, and dessert. Cannolis was a very tasty way to end our meal.

I would suggest checking out the menu I’m attaching so you’ll know what to get before going. I hope you enjoy your meal as much as we did.

I really hate to say this… But this place has really gone down hill.. they used to be really good when they were at 124 by traditions, but I don’t know if there’s new owners or what, but it’s horrible now.. hate to say it.
I always get a sausage pizza back when they were over by 124. It was great. Not greasy whatsoever, actual sliced sausage on the pie with good quality cheese and sauce.
But this pie I picked up today, let’s completely disgusting.. the sauce tasted really cheap, the cheese itself is super greasy… Like when I move the slice off of the baking sheet and it was on the cardboard box for probably 2 minutes, there is a puddle of grease because the cardboard cannot absorb any more of the grease from the pizza… That and the sausage is so disgusting, no more sliced real sausage, but they use these big sausage balls that taste like DiGiorno pizza…
Definitely feeling a little ripped off after paying $24.
It’s sad to see a small business change so dramatically, but it is what it is.
whether they are new owners, or the original owners, I really hope they change their ways and put money into their ingredients like how they used to.

Food is consistently good. Service is good, even better today with a server we haven’t had before. Atmosphere- my only concern is too close together. The tables are close and even if the place is fairly empty, you get seated right next to people. Everything else is always good.

came as a party of 3, immediately saw hostile signs upon entering “only one refill for customer” “no substitution”. was sat and waited for awhile to be greeted. our waitress took our drink orders and it took about 20 minutes for us to even get drinks. she took while to take our food order and when the food came out, we were missing part of our entree. we had to ask two different people to receive part of our order. we received no refills and weren’t checked on at all. as a waitress myself, this service was awful. i never leave bad reviews but i wish i knew this before i came so i could’ve spent my time and money elsewhere.

Absolutely love this little family restaurant. The antipasto salad for 2 is a work of art and the dressing is delicious. The pizza has a nice thin crust with plenty of toppings on it and we had great service too. We’ve been several times and also ordered takeout before. Highly recommend this place.

The food is very good and it really surprised us. Went back a second time and it was great again. This is a hidden gem for Italian food.

Service was also very good. Prices are a good value since an opening course is included with most dishes.

Highly recommended.

The people working here seem very nice and the price was very reasonable But.. I must have ordered the wrong meal! I Might go back and try the pizza…
My salad had lettuce 1 tomato and a sparce amount of house dressing! The garlic rolls were like Biscuts slathered in oil and garlic, and my manicotti pasta was undercooked… not in a good way. The sauce was bland, and the grease was pooling around my lasagna. Maybe it was an off night… It was good the next day after I added sauce and baked it longer.
