Stumbled a crossed this little gem one day. It was a cold day and I needed some comfort food to help warm me up. Everything on my plate was done to perfection. My fish was fresh, flavorful and delicious. It came with three generous sides (that along was a feast). Mashed potatoes were so smooth and yummy that you didn’t even need gravy. Cabbage was cooked so well that it had a sweetness to it. The Mac and cheese was perfect and definitely sticks to your ribs.

I found this place on Google when searching for soul food and found just that. Very good delicious home cooked food along with the friendly attentive staff. Home away from Home. Highly recommend this place ❤️ (meatloaf, large turkey necks, mashed potatoes, rice/gravy, candied jams, string beans and good warm peach cobbler)

First time at this location.. Was greeted upon entrance, the gentleman was pleasant. Atmosphere was good they had that N.O music playing not to loud but at a good tone. I ordered the pork chops (smothered) they are not fried!! They where super good along with yams and the green beans and of course we got a small seafood gumbo that came with potato salad!!!! And Kool Aid!! My cousin had gotten the ox tails and she said the are so flavorful nothing was over powering, and cabbage and green beans as well… MS.Lady in the back who does all the cooking KEEP IT UP….this place is a whole vibe we ate there but you can pick up and go as well…

This gem in Carrollton is exactly what my soul food taste buds needed. Black owned and from New Orleans, they have all the southern dishes that reminds you of eating Sunday dinner at your granny’s house! I stopped by on a Wednesday evening to pick up macaroni and cheese, candied yams, and smothered Turkey necks with rice. 10/10! My food was hot and fresh. The cost was about $16. This is my new spot that I will patronize when I want real soul food! Thank you for the great food and customer service!

I have been to living out this way for a little over a year and normally go to Dallas to get all my soulfood fixes. Well today I didn’t feel like making the drive and searched soul food near me this spot came up and I saw the review rush out my bed and went up there. That was the best decision I’ve ever made, I had the oxtails,Mac &cheese , yams, potato salad, and GUMBO. I swear that gumbo is the truth!!! It reminded me of my grandmas gumbo I’ve never had restaurant gumbo that was actually delicious like that !! The oxtails were bomb as well I ate a bit of all my food and just sat there in aww! My pops use to cook for my family so I’m truly picky about creole style food! THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT ME! the staff were so friendly and sweet the constantly made sure that the restaurant was spotless after every guest! You guys definitely have gained a regular! Also check out the candles by the door they smell amazing I purchase a few that teawood coconut my lawddddddd

Wow wow and wow….. the food was sooooo good I’m about to pass out from eatting it….i was so Skeptical about trying it out but it was the best decision I made and was amazing, they have found a new customer…… I will be returning here and you should come try it out as well…. The staff was very friendly and the portions were huge I mean huge…. I was half way done with my plate and I was stuffed like a turkey on thanksgiving day…. I had the oxtail and the Mac and cheese was fire (that means good)

This new place is right next to my wife’s hair stylist, which is how we first saw it. Finally got a chance to stop by today for lunch. First let me say the choice of music playing over the speakers takes you immediately to New Orleans. I had the roast beef po’ boy and my wife had the shrimp po’ boy. She ordered it without hot sauce but they messed up the order. Before she even had time to take the first bite the cook was out to correct it. They even offered us some complimentary gumbo, which was delicious. My wife actually says it is some of the best she has had. When the correct sandwich came out it was loaded with shrimp. My roast beef was tender with gravy. I’m glad i didn’t wear a good shirt. Definitely recommend and will be back to try some of the other items.

OMGosh! This food was so good!! I loved everything. We had the catfish and it was seasoned so good and fried perfect. The oxtails was on point and tender! The gumbo was spicy!
