The baked goods here are divine. If its not from the rhu I dont want it. And the sandwiches they produce cannot be bad with the bread they use. Coffee is also top notch.
It is very reasonably priced but I always spend an arm and a leg because I buy just about every pastry due to how irresistible they are 🙂 every time we go it is my goal to try every new pastry in the case. This time I was lucky enough to be there when they had a yacon pop tart. OMG! We went there 3 days in a row. The first day I bought one the second and third day I wiped them
Out of all they had – enough said lol!
Their sweet pastries are why I go, their savory food and coffee is why I stay!
From the Rhubano ( their amazing twist on a Cuban) to the breakfast biscuit with their house made breakfast sausage or the bagel and cream cheese everything is excellent and made in house! I mean really, wrap your head around that!
I love shopping for local gifts there too as everything is local and of high quality. Did I mention everything is locally sourced? From the perfectly roasted Penny Cup coffee to the locally foraged items they incorporate in their menu it is obvious that Rhu is passionate about supporting the local community and what they do.
I’m not sure who the person/persons behind the concept and the food is
/are but the desire for excellence is obvious. Looking forward to our next visit at Rhu in a few months!
The welcoming, cozy, eclectic atmosphere immediately set the tone for such a wonderful experience. Paired with an extremely informative and friendly employee, who thoroughly answered each question I asked.
I first ordered the Teddy Graham Latte which ignited childhood nostalgia while quickly making its way to the tippy top of “my favorite coffee to date” list.
I then chowed down on the Turkey Melt. WOW! The sourdough bread was delectable. The overall meshing of ingredients blended together made for one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. (And ya girl was on quite a sandwich kick when pregnant with my first child…)
Bottom line: The Rhu is easily one of my new favorite places and I cannot wait to be back!
In addition, great selection of coffee and tea options, and the cashier remembered us from the day before and asked how I liked the modification they made to my tea the day before.
Plenty of seating upstairs, free water, and a nice, calm atmosphere. I just wish they would deliver all the way up to Maryland so I could get my biscuit fix!
Beyond the pastries, the bread is delicious and the barista-made coffee is always spot on. The staff is super friendly, too. Just a heads-up on the flow: they’ll kindly bring your food to the table, but you listen for your name to grab your drinks at the counter. Whether I’m here with friends or my spouse, everyone leaves impressed. A must-visit!
