This is the best cafe in the area. Coffee 10/10. Food 15/10. Prices 10/10. We go here all the time and my fiance is obsessed. I recommend trying the Maple Bacon Toast and the wings as they are both amazing. Depending on the time of day it may be busy, but well worth the wait!

Very small space so it’s difficult to get a table, especially on weekends. I attempted to have breakfast here several times on Sat/Sun but I couldn’t even get into the parking lot. I finally got here during the week and even then half the tables were already taken. Very good menu with lots of choices and the food is very fresh. I got the smoked salmon toast and was very impressed with the presentation and quality of the ingredients. I will definitely come again, probably during the week when it’s a bit easier to get in. Looking forward to trying everything!

We were looking for a good breakfast restaurant that served avocado toast in Rockland County and stumbled upon The Rail and Trail Cafe in Blauvelt. They did not disappoint. The avocado toast was exquisite, the service was welcoming and courteous and the setting was cozy and quaint.
Additionally, the breakfast platter, consisting of maple sausage, eggs, cinnamon toast and fruit was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Adding a large cup of fresh hot coffee made for a perfect breakfast!

Please disregard those couple of unwarranted bad reviews. Go try for yourself! While driving to PA, we came across this place. I could not be happier. Do not skip the pistachio latte. Absolutely delicious. The berry ricotta toast, the hikers trail, and the breakfast platter were all unbelievable. Can’t wait to come back and explore the menu some more.

Best place to eat in Rockland — hands down.
The coffee and drinks are amazing! We’ve been here three times, and it’s been a grand slam every single visit. It’s about 15 miles / 21 minutes from Stony Point, and absolutely worth every pocket of traffic on the PIP to get here.
Colleen and the entire staff are super friendly — always active, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You feel taken care of the moment you walk in.
If I had to say one thing, it’s that the place is a little small and always busy — so expect a wait. But honestly, that’s a good problem to have.
The food is packed with flavor. The French onion soup is one of their staples, and I totally see why — it’s incredible. The Thanksgiving dinner sandwich was just a November special, but it made a better comeback than the McRib . Totally worth it — it put me to sleep just like eating at mom’s house.
And the Grinch matcha? Such a fun and delicious twist on a Christmas drink.
Perfect spot. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

Our first time here was great. We came within 40 min of closing and they graciously sat us. The service was wonderful as were their recommendations. The food was so good, I barely got a picture of my husband’s flatbread. All three dishes were very goof and we can’t wait to return!

Amazing experience and wonderful staff , great food and portions. The entire menu looks delectable. We had the ricotta toast and the waffle sandwich and subbed turkey sausage for the bacon. So so good! Can’t wait to return ! Setting can be a little tricky because it’s busy and rightfully so. Lattes were good.
