Me & the Wifey took a motorcycle ride up from Wichita just to eat here, and because it’s beautiful out. They have a wide variety on menu from American food to Mexican & it’s all delicious. You can’t go wrong with any choice.

My wife and I ate here for the first time and were excited by the other reviews we had read. The establishment is clean and nicely decorated and the service was quick and friendly. The salsa here tastes more like Italian marinara than it does salsa. The menu is pretty extensive, my wife chose the Mole Rojo and I had the Burrito Marijo. The Mole did not really have the flavor you would expect from a Mole, it wasn’t bad but it tasted almost like an Italian red sauce. The burrito was good but nothing to rave about. Overall it was a pleasant experience but there was nothing that really made Catrinas really stand out from any of the other establishments here in Newton other than it is new.

This has become a regular date spot for my wife and I. The staff is always friendly, always helpful, always welcoming and always willing to answer any questions we have. The food is always fresh, hot and served quickly. They also have a salsa bar, which has a plethora of sauces from mild to spicy. I personally recommend this place to others and will continue to make it a regular date spot.

Excellent service. Clean restrooms and restaurant seems pretty clean overall. Good came out fast and hot. Portions seem large. Flavor is typical tex-mex. Don’t expect that authentic flavorful food.

I got chilli Verde. It was better than casa fiesta it didn’t have the burnt flakes in it. But it was a bit sweet & greasy. Didn’t taste that good I won’t get it again. My wife ordered the Wisconsin burrito and found a hair in it. They took it back and behold it’s the same burrito just a bit more toasted. The male waiter there was rude, he doesn’t know what polite manners are. Overall I rate this a 2star because casa fiesta is #1 worst restaurant in Newton. Then this would be the second. I won’t be back here ever. First time and last time

What a great place to go enjoy authentic food, bold decor and relaxing atmosphere. I loved every minute here with my family. The food is scrumptious and the service was so kind. They showed they cared about their service and made sure my family was enjoying the service. It was my mother in laws birthday & we had fun! The food and drink prices are reasonable. I would come here again.

The wait was expected from other reviews although it was pretty slow compared to usual. Our waitress didn’t speak very good English so my daughter got wrong order and ordered grilled jalapeño got chess dip with pickled jaljalapeno.Overall it was very average food for a very high prices. Daughter got combo plate, elotes and I got the pork tinga. Best were the elotes. Probably won’t be back considering price to taste.

Was surprised to find this place hidden in Newtown KS! This restaurant is awesome! Salsa bar has a selection of salsa that you don’t typically find! The service is superb here also! Menu has a selection that is hard to beat and quality of food to match. Definitely a new favorite place to dine!

We went to Catrina’s on opening night and LOVED it. Their fajitas “for two” were more than enough for one meal (we each had enough for lunch the next day) and their drink selection is fun and exciting! There are all sorts of margaritas to try, and they also have specialty drinks on top of this. Would recommend for anyone in the Newton area.
