We celebrated our anniversary at The Portofino Restaurant on Valentine’s Day, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The entire evening felt special, thanks to the warm, cozy atmosphere and the thoughtful attention to detail throughout the restaurant.
Our waitress, Messeri, was truly exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and her recommendations were spot on, every dish we tried was delicious. The food was full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and very reasonably priced.
Making a reservation online was quick and easy, which made planning our special night stress-free.
Overall, we had an incredible evening and couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. We highly recommend The Portofino Restaurant.

They created the most perfect four course dinner for us on our third wedding anniversary! Excellent wine pairings with each dish, and everything they served felt authentic and intentional. Thank you Portofino Restaurant team for giving us such a wonderful experience!

We had a good experience here, all of the servers were fantastic. The veal was really good, and I liked how tender the lobster risotto was. All my life is never had spumoni in a chocolate shell and the last three places we’ve been all had them. Much better presentation than the slice I used to get as a kid. I also liked the Watergate cake was really good. My wife enjoyed the minestrone, but I didn’t think the meatball soup was as good.
The antipasto might be too fancy for me, lookout for the sardine if you aren’t a fan.
We’ll be going back again soon.

We were recommended to go here and they were not wrong. Amazing Italian food. The Pollo Cha Cha was amazing. And the chocolate layer cake was to die for. The staff were attentive. We never had an empty glass. Great place for dinner after a long day of travel.

Cozy and phenomenal gem you must check out if in the area. Reservations are recommended as I lucked out with a table for two.
I didn’t know what to expect waking up to the restaurant, entrance in rear, but it felt like coming home to Nona’s kitchen when I walked in.
The food is superb, bacon wrapped monkfish was perfectly prepared in a capers lemon sauce with angel hair and vegetable mix. The other dish, a traditional baked lasagna was fresh and definitely in my top five best, if nothing else because the sauce was on point.
Their hand crafted cocktail menu had something for everyone from strong to refreshing, I recommend the Limoncello Martini. As expected, the server’s wine recommendation was perfect with little direction to my normal go-to reds.
Dessert was lovely, all fresh and not too sweet including lactose-sensitive options.
The owner is very friendly, proud of the family establishment as was our server having worked there since it opened many years ago.
Overall a wonderful evening, fantastic service and food that had me feeling good well after the dinner!

Enter through the rear. Parking is very very challenging. Flight is stairs to enter. No bar top to sit at. Wine selection is good. Table bread was fresh and served hot. Pricing is in line with the portion size. Food was decent

The great concierge highly recommended portofino and we are so glad. It is authentic northern Italian cuisine run by the third generation son who greeted and seated us. Wonderful for business dinner and special occasion. My friend had the delicious seafood pasta with lobster and lots of seafood in steaming fettuccini.. They adapted my need for vegetarian diet needs and I loved the mushroom pasta they prepared in garlic and light oil. As regular travelers to Italy this cozy welcoming attractive

We wanted to find some romantic essential place where we could get away from the noisiness of the city and we found it! It wasn’t easy to spot, but when you get inside you are invited by the hostess who guides you to your table. The service, the food and the atmosphere is amazing! Cotton tablecloth, original receipts and the quality of food and service was outstanding!!!!! LOVE this place!!!!

I struggle with this review. The service was great, the ambiance was outdated (not rustic or charming but a throwback to the 1970s) and the food was good. We enjoyed the Portofino ravioli, lobster ravioli topped with shrimp in a sage butter sauce (special of the day), the flash fried softshell crab, pistachio creme brulee and the caramel ice cream.
The reason I struggle with this review is mainly due to the mold clearly found on the labels of our bottled water. It made me feel uncomfortable with the food safety at this place.
