I went to Playwright this past weekend to check out the night life and boozy brunch . First off a friend and I went to the bar on a Friday night … it was packed for such a tiny place !!! It was loud but not in a good way , the crowd was louder than the music so it sounded like constant yelling . Our bartender was lovely and the service was awesome …. Sunday afternoon some friends and I went out for a boozy brunch . We ordered one of their drink towers HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! I had the croque madam and breakfast poutine . I must say what ruined it for me me was the eggs , I don’t think you have an option for how you want your eggs on top . I’m all for over easy but it was not cooked so that was a disappointment. Would definitely try with an over medium eggs if I have that option . My friends ordered the chicken and waffles and said the chicken was phenomenal we also ordered some nachos but the steak was undercooked . All in all 4/5 drinks were on point will be returning for those , staff is amazing and the service was fast . Trying the dinner menu next time ‼️

This is the spot to be for a group of friends for brunch! Amazing selection of brunch food, good portions, and amazing towers! The prices were reasonable too – for about $50 the towers will give you about 10 drinks. We also got a pitcher of the espresso martini and it was a 10/10. And with all that, the servers were so great and the ambiance was super fun. Great music and vibes!!!

Amazing service, but the food is really not that great. I had the spicy burger and thought the patty was noticeably underseasoned, the bun over-sweet. For a drink I had the espresso martini, and while it was fine, it wasn’t to the caliber I would expect from a restaurant. I’m sure the regular draft beers and ciders are perfectly serviceable though. The vibe is interesting — it seems like it was once a spirited writer and music themed place that’s now selling its soul to turn itself into a regular boring old sports bar. Would love to return if it went in a more “Lolitas Cocina” direction than a “Ned Devines” but hey, I’m just one guy.

Great drinks, good environment and if you are a wing enthusiast like I am, it is by far the best Buffalo wings I have ever had. Perfect level of flavor while maintaining its spicy integrity. Definitely a place to come and check out.

Cool place with really good food for brunch. We ended up here because I saw the picture of the french toast somewhere and it looked great and I must say that after having that and the benedict buffalo, the benedict was my favorite.

Service was amazing, but the appetizers we had such as the Buffalo cauliflower and the truffle tots were both extremely extremely dry and the cauliflower were just huge chunks so every time you took a bite, the Buffalo casing around it would just fall off. We followed up on entrees with the grilled cheese/soup which was alright and the chicken Milanese which was actually amazing and preferably the best thing on the menu. If the food quality was overall better then I think I’d definitely rate this a 5 because the service was incredible.

Had a terrific experience with Hannah as our server. She was so attentive, and created such a fun atmosphere for us. The drinks were exceptional, especially the desert rose. The nachos were to die for. Can’t wait to go back!
