Came here for lunch on a Tuesday with the place pretty full. I had the half chicken plate. Food came out piping hot and very fresh. The chicken batter was light and super crispy, the mashed potatoes were delicious as were the green beans. Crowd had a local vibe with regular patrons. Atmosphere is inviting and staff seemed very nice. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone looking for food that tastes homemade.

saw Piccadilly on TikTok and the food and overall vibe looked fantastic, so we decided to go on a Saturday for an early lunch—and it absolutely lived up to the hype.
I ordered a salad that was excellent. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, and the homemade vinaigrette was a slam dunk. The meatloaf, gravy, and green beans did not disappoint either. The green beans were simple, which I actually prefer—nothing overdone or mushy. The meatloaf was full of flavor and very moist, and paired with the potatoes it made for a great comfort-food meal.
We also had the fried chicken, which was outstanding. The batter was light and crispy with absolutely no sogginess whatsoever. It had great flavor without overpowering the chicken itself.
Service was great from the start. We were greeted right away, and our server was attentive without being bothersome. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming, including the bathrooms.
Overall, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back.

I ordered by telephone and picked up my take out order around noontime, the place was packed. Parking was congested, this restaurant sits in a residential area, but I found a close spot in back and entered through the patio. My order was ready and well packaged. The Mayfair dressing was good, and the shrimp was delicious. The mayfair salad needed more goodies- croutons would have made it better, some cheese? I also ordered the chicken pot pie and blackberry cobbler. Neither had a bottom crust, but the filling was good.

Place was packed on a cold Saturday night. They’re known for their fried chicken and pot pies, and I went with the half fried chicken. It came out crispy on the outside but not too heavy. We didn’t have a reservation, so we waited on their heated patio with a couple of drinks from the bar. The atmosphere is laid back, with a lot of local St. Louis memorabilia around. I also got a bite of the Meltdown, which is basically a souped-up grilled cheese with two burger patties on white bread; definitely hearty and tasty. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding with ice cream, and it was nice and moist. Overall, it’s a solid place for comfort food. I’d definitely recommend it.

I had a lovely birthday dinner @The Piccadilly at Manhattan.
We hadn’t been there in a few years, but they did not disappoint. The chicken pot pie was delicious, as remembered. And the blackberry cobbler was a great finish.
I tried to include a short video of me punching through the top of the pot pie, but Google Maps was being finicky.

Great cocktails. The pot pies seem to be popular and nicely prepared. I had the meatloaf which was very good. Single diners are very welcome at the bar.

Allow me to introduce you to this charming restaurant, housed in a beautifully restored historic building. Having had the pleasure of dining here on multiple occasions, I can confidently attest that the chicken pot pie is, by far, my absolute favorite. The flaky crust boasts a delightfully buttery softness, complemented by crisp edges. The generous chunks of white meat, paired with an assortment of fresh vegetables, are truly exceptional. The Beef pot pie, in its own right, is unparalleled. This evening, I finally had the opportunity to sample the smoked prime rib, which proved to be utterly satisfying, paired with a glass of rich Cabernet. Moving on to the made-from-scratch desserts, I opted for the blackberry cobbler. The blackberry cobbler, I must emphasize, was the most exceptional I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I was greeted by a friendly hostess and my waiter, John, provided attentive service, despite appearing somewhat distracted. Nonetheless, the service was delivered efficiently.

High marks all around for this charming neighborhood place: indoor / outdoor / patio seating, solid menu, good service and crowd-pleasing tastes. The blackberry cobbler a la mode made me faint.

This place has been on my list of places to try for over a decade and I’m ashamed it’s taken me so long to finally make the pilgrimage to one of our city’s best establishments.
I’m constantly trying chicken from all over the country and The Piccadilly at Manhattan is certainly well within the conversation of some of the all time greats. Cooked absolutely perfectly. Nothing fancy, no exotic herbs and spices, just exactly what you would expect from southern-American style fried chicken.
The classic bone in chicken was easily, and by far, the star of the show. The wings with the “our way” sauce was a close second. It’s a sweet and spicy blend of brown sugar and hot sauce. A scrumptious combination, as could be inferred. The strips were fantastic as well, coming in 3rd place. In this case last absolutely does NOT mean least. All three were parsecs above average.
9.45/10 Clucks. Highly recommended.
The ranch was special and unique. Typical homemade ranch but with an herbaceous flavor bomb as a result of added herbes de Provence. Interesting and not overpowering. Worth a try to be sure.
