Really fast service, just really bad food. The eggs were poached very hard for the Benedict. The sauce was also neon yellow and very unappetizing. Pancakes were okay, nothing special. You can also get a better value at other local diners. Would not recommend.

The staff here was wonderful. Went in at 11 a.m. and caught the end of the breakfast specials. And special they were. Two scrambled eggs that looked like 3 or 4 on my plate, rye toast w/jelly, three strips or bacon, not as crispy as I like but crispy enough so as not to influence this rating, and enough hash browns to satisfy the breakfast needs plus enough to take home and satisfy the dinner urges. The staff was wonderful!

The service was very good and we found our waitress to be very friendly and polite.
My husband ordered a tuna salad wrap and to his surprise it came with bacon in it!
My Ruben on the other hand was very disappointing. The menu said piled high with corned beef and sauerkraut and as you can see it had three or four slices. Very little sauerkraut. It was good. Just not what I expected. Those sandwiches came with french fries and coleslaw that had no sugar in it which was excellent! I included a picture of what a Reuben should look like. Wasn’t even on the correct bread. Just chose the wrong thing to today. Normally everything is very good.

1-5-2026, The food has been going down hill over the past year or so. The hash brown bake had very little flavor and very little protein. My fried potatoes and my wifes extra bacon were old gummy and greasy. I had a cup of sausage gravy which was flavorless and yellow, not the creamy white it used to be. Very disappointed.

Arrived on Monday and saw the specials including All-You-Can-Eat Beef Stew which comes with one side. I decided to try it since I skipped breakfast. I anticipated heavy vegetable and light on the beef. I was wrong.
The Stew was great with large chunks of tender beef. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great also. Definitely homemade and correctly seasoned.
PS peanut butter pie is the bomb!
2021-03-08 – it’s been 5 years since I stopped here and absolutely nothing has changed. Had the all you can eat beef stew again with the mashed potatoes just like the last time I was here. Fantastic homemade beef stew and the service was outstanding! Had the peanut butter pie again and as I described before, it is the bomb! I am in town for a while so I will be stopping here again. I’m not going 5 years without this fantastic food. Prices are still extremely reasonable also.

Food is always plentiful and very tasty. We mostly go for breakfast and the pancakes are light and fluffy, they serve tasty French toast and the home fries can be made to order just how you want them. The seating area is showing signs of wear and tear eating the booth seating. With all the business they get it could use a remodel in the seating and brighten up the place. But the food and service are excellent.

We come from Indiana and while here we wanted to find a place that served Scrapple. I’ve only ate this one or two times. The flavor of this scrapple was a bit on the liver side. It was cooked well but I’m not a big fan of liver.

Sunday 900-1030 breakfast with a dozen in our party. Parking was available all around the building with an entrance/exit in the front and back. Spacious facility and bathrooms were clean with no crazy decor. Our waitress was great at getting our orders in but shorted a few items, switched two orders with another table and seem flustered. It is a breakfast restaurant with cakes. The food was warm but the home fries and bacon seemed soggy from setting in a warming pan for too long. I plan on going back to try some of the cakes and scrapple.

Just FYI the prices shown on some of these photos on the menu are outdated! For example, the appetizer sampler platter is now $9 instead of $6 and has different items. This did not affect my score, though! Altogether decent food and service. Good prices, you and a friend can come here for $20. It’s hard to compete with all the good food near Harrisburg, though! I got the Philly Wrap with fries and everything came out crazy hot, service was very fast!
