We went to BB for Valentine’s Day. It was the perfect place to celebrate. We enjoyed the Lobster Bisque, Wagyu Tomahawk, and Seared Salmon. The Lobster Bisque was creamy, flavorful and had a few pieces of Lobster. The Wagyu Tomahawk was cooked to perfection and truly melted in our mouths. The Seared Salmon was cooked perfectly, the crispy skin was yum, and the creamy tarragon sauce was divine. The Creme Brulee is a must have! All of the dishes were delicious!

The jazz band and singer who performed that night really set the mood. They are truly talented! It wasn’t too loud either.

However, considering the prices and how much our bill was, we expected better service. The Server started out strong but once she got our food order we didnt see her for awhile or after receiving our food. I asked twice for a bit more sauce with my Salmon and it took a long time for her to come back with it. Overall our experience was enjoyable regardless of the mediocre service.

High end. If you want to put a shine on for a first date this would be the spot. Just bring at least a handful of Benjis to get started. Steaks start at $70 and up. Foie gras, Escagot, truffles, caviar etc. Got a ribeye with house jus. Was fantastic. Sides are served family style in big quantities. Lots of bourbon and scotch options as well. Old school steakhouse feel. Expensive and very nicely done.

WOW WOW WOW!! I was looking for a good steakhouse to take my son and his girlfriend, I googled for local steakhouse and first I see are a couple of the chain steakhouses, I wanted something different and boy oh boy did I found it. I made reservations online and we showed up on time. Right at the entrance you see these giant steaks and ribs. Wow. We immediately get seated. Everything already feels different.

We open the menus and yet again you can immediately see you are not in a normal steak house with normal kind of steaks. I mean they do have a $1200 steak on the menu!

We ordered the bone marrow and something else for appetizers , my son’s girlfriend ordered the filet minion and me and my son order the 48-52 oz tomahawk ribeye.

A man walks over to us and ask how we are doing? I could feel he was not just the manager. We start a conversation and then he suggests to put up “the show” for us. Just look at the pictures, his name is Kiran (hopefully spelled it right) and he is the owners.

I ate in at least 20 Michelin star restaurants, hundreds of steakhouses including Michelin star rated but this was above anything I ever ate or ever experienced. Look at the pictures and see for yourself. How am I ever going to be able to eat steak again?!?!

In the background live jazz, perfect. Not loud and gentle!!!

I was excited to go here as I was truly looking forward to the cheese wheel pasta and steak.
I was extremely disappointed.
Full meal for the table of us:
Two appetizers
Spinach- artichoke dip (good but like pate for the texture) 6 out of 10
Pork belly bites served on a soggy bed of arugula lettuce with cold sauce (cold on purpose) the pork belly was lovely but had it been topped with fresh arugula it would have been great for the flavor as would a warm sauce been better as the ice cold sauce made the pork cold.

Next the meals:
One had a ribeye- 8 out of 10. Normal and cooked medium rare

I had the cheese wheel pasta. The put cold dry pasta on the wheel an acted like that would mix and blend – then to actually blend it they put it on a stove and added a cream sauce they said was garlic with fresh garlic. There was (0) zero fresh garlic and they did not make the cream sauce with any pasta water or butter as it should be so it was really thick and heavy from all the plain cheese cream sauce. I had to add pepper for some flavor.

Next I had fresh truffle and the waiter could not shave it as the knife was too dull so for $33 I was given about three broken slices.

I had my pasta with a 4 ounce med rare filet. It had sat in the window in the kitchen for so long the steak was dried and chewy and the sauce had a thick film on it. Yuck. I told the waiter and he just said okay.

Sides we tried the lobster mac and cheese. Again sat in the window and we could not chew the lobster. I showed the waiter and again “oh” was the response. He didn’t care
Also had the Sriracha and bacon brussel sprouts. They were the best part of the meal. The only thing not dried out and flavored.

They make it look nice but it’s not good.

Total score 3 out of 10.

Curated experiences at the table depending on what drink you order, read the menu carefully. Loved the selection of appetizers, drinks on drinks on drinks. They also have a vast selection of steaks on display. Was empty then got very busy, go early to ensure you have seats. Some nights they also have live music.

My family and I had Sunday brunch there and from the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance was relaxed yet elegant. We were seated in a private room with soft music and natural lighting, which made for a wonderful dining experience.

Every dish was fresh and flavorful, from the brussel sprouts and shrimp & grits to the chicken & waffles and french onion soup. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything tasted thoughtfully prepared. It’s clear the team here takes pride in both their service and food quality.

I recommend this fantastic spot for brunch or any special gathering with a very attentive and knowledgeable staff. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing dinner at Bourbon Boulevard. The food was so fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious! The atmosphere is simultaneously comfortable and sophisticated. The table side services (cheese wheel pasta and smoked old fashioned) add a flare to the meal that is unmatched. We will definitely be back!

We went with friends for a Christmas Eve dinner based on a coworker’s recommendation, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience.

The staff was warm and inviting, and the owner was an absolute pleasure to interact with. He really set the tone for the evening. There was a little confusion at first about who would be taking care of our table, but once the staff realized the owner was chatting with us, everything settled in quickly.

Food & Drinks
The drinks and meals were excellent. Everything arrived exactly as expected and prepared perfectly. We definitely over‑ordered without realizing how large some of the portions were, but no complaints there. Steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare and the filets, according to our friends, were the best they’ve ever had. The house salad, that’s just a winner with the perfect combination of items with a light but vinger citrus type dressing. The lobster bisque was amazing and I don’t even like lobster bisque. My wife insisted a try it, and I’m glad I did. The braised Brussels sprouts were a standout. There wasn’t a leftover sprout to be found. Wonderful.

Experience
The highlight of the night was the owner’s tableside tomahawk presentation. It was interactive, fun, and really put everyone at ease. Our waitress checked on us often, and we never felt like we had to worry about a thing throughout the evening.

Pricing
The overall price point was a bit higher than similar experiences we’ve had, and we know beef prices are trending up. The à la carte steaks can get pricey once you add sides and salads. For context, when my wife and I go out for steak, we usually share a tomahawk, have a salad, pick a side each, enjoy a cocktail, and a modest bottle of wine. This visit ended up about $100 more than comparable outings. There was also a 5% surcharge on the bill that I didn’t notice until after tipping. We’re not used to seeing that unless it’s a party of six or more, and we were only four. Possibly it covers the live music, but we’re not sure. Chantilly is a bit more upscale than Fredericksburg, but pound for pound there compariable in quality, just not offerings. B&B has an amazing selection of waygu beef that we’re looking forward to trying at some point. Not for the faint of heart 🙂

Overall
A definite win. We’ll be back for another evening—or even an afternoon—soon. We noticed an outdoor seating area and look forward that in the spring. Appreciate the great meal and experience.

Many thanks,
Rick & Christine

Editing here as I cannot REPLY to the owner’s response: I’m disappointed by this response, which unfortunately reinforces the concerns raised in my original review. At no point was I rude, entitled, or unreasonable. I simply expected not to be charged for an appetizer that was served cold inside with undercooked bacon.

To clarify the facts:

I declined a remake because I no longer wished to continue the experience after an already prolonged interaction.

Being offered the option to take improperly prepared food home to reheat myself is not an acceptable resolution in a restaurant.

The issue was never the wine price—I knowingly ordered it. The issue was being charged for food that was not properly prepared.

A service fee was automatically added and not clearly communicated beforehand.

What is most concerning is the tone and nature of this response. A quick review of public replies to other less-than-positive reviews shows a consistent pattern of personal attacks and hostility toward customers who share critical feedback. This is not how concerns should be addressed in a professional hospitality setting.

I stand by my review and will allow others to draw their own conclusions based on both the experience described and the owner’s public response here.

Adding original response from owner incase they try to change it: Jenny
Stop being entitled and whiner. You saw the wine prices on menu and you ordered and you have a choice to get a smaller pour for 11. You can’t see how what you can’t. This is not a beer yoga place. You wanted your bacon to be extra crispy. We need to make sure to cook to maintain consistency. Dates came out of oven and you felt dates were not hot enough. Anymore than the temperature we served you would have complained it either way.
We offered to redo for you. But you insisted not to. As per owner being on site not coming into speak to you, Manager was there to address issue. Infact i was planning to bring entire bourbon boulevard crew to speak to you and pacify. Stop being entitled and get a life.

My Original review:
Stopped in for a glass of wine and ordered the bacon-wrapped dates from the happy hour menu. The restaurant was completely empty, which in hindsight should have been a red flag.
The dates arrived cold inside with undercooked bacon. I let the bartender know, and the manager, Lauren, came over and offered to send them back. I declined.
When I asked for the bill, I was still charged $14 for an appetizer that was never properly prepared. I asked for it to be removed. Both the bartender and manager refused, claiming the owner would not approve it. The owner was onsite but would not come out to speak with me. The entire interaction dragged on for about 25 minutes.
Instead of removing the charge, the manager offered to wrap the food so I could take it home and reheat it myself—completely unacceptable.
Between the poor food, worse service, and nearly $20 for a very basic Sauvignon Blanc, this place isn’t worth it. It’s obvious why the restaurant was empty. I will never return.

Went here for a work dinner last night. Food was really good although given the steaks on display (which look amazing), I found my ribeye to be just pretty good. Tasted the wagyu ribeye and it was better. Apps were good, sides were good. Standout was the smoked old fashioned which was fun to watch them make it and tasted great.

Only criticism would be our wine. Ordered Sangiovese and it came out really cold. Too cold. Took way too long to get to drinkable temp. Server also gave us massive pours to fill all four glasses and empty the bottle. When a fifth person wanted a glass we had to get a second. Second bottle was better temp. A bit of training would help.
