The staff is always attentive and friendly when we go here no matter how busy it is. They have daily specials which include discounted food and drinks depending on the day. Food is delicious and I can’t say I’ve ever had anything I didn’t like. Their flavored margaritas are a must if you stop her!

There is no ego here. The owner was helping with tables while planning an event, etc. She was impressive, and whoever is cooking is dead serious. I tried to pace myself but it was incredibly difficult. Atmosphere and service not fussy or self-conscious; all just perfect, start to finish, chips and margarita to the escabeche.

Explained to server I had an onion allergy. She stated she wasn’t sure if anything would work for me since a lot of things had onions it. My husband and I explained if it was fully cooked in a sauce I would be okay, and onion powder was safe to use. Everything on my plate was full of onions. We explain I wasn’t going to be able to eat anything. The server then ignored us as I sat there with a plate full of onions. When she finally cane back to our table she had a huge attitude and was just unpleasant. I would have been nice if she spoke to the cook first and explained my allergy or had the cook come talk to us. (This typically happens everywhere I’ve gone, since its such a rare allergy). I’m so angry with how I left feeling. If you have any type of food allergy I would think twice before going here!

Wow! Way to step up TacoTuesday!!! Had the NachoGrande… They brought out a mountain of Nachos in a platter, no a trough…we did our best, but the beast won out (See Pics). The Entree was the Mix Combo Plate… Nicely Done Pepper!!!

Super friendly staff, great location, had a casual and slow-paced early dinner. Food solid, relatively healthy and not as heavy on the cheese and oil. Beans were good, recommend the house enchilada, tacos, chimichanga all good. Fajitas were not as good but still OK, beef tough in spots, heavy sauce and fewer vegetables that I’d like. It’s a good spot if traveling through on 87, well worth the trip and not far off the highway.

Every plate I try here, I fall in love with. Their margaritas are easily the best value I’ve found, and delicious. Always plenty busy, and with good reason. It can get a bit noisy, but that’s just because everyone is enjoying themselves. The flan is great if you can snag some!

Excellent drinks and mouth watering food! Very pleasant atmosphere. Laid back and relaxing. Overall great dining experience. Friendly waitstaff. Can’t say enough about the food! So good! Definitely the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in a long time.

We went there for lunch based on the reviews. The food was ok not too bad but not exceptional either. We ordered tortilla soup, Chimichanga, Seafood Enchiladas and Fish tacos. Everything had lots of rice, beans and tons of cheese with it. The soup reminded us of canned tomato soup with tortillas on top. It might be for you if you like cheese and lots of rice and beans, but it was not for us.

Waited 15+ minutes for our waitress to come to us to order drinks although her and another worker walked passed us and looked at us several times. Drinks took forever to come out, my tacos were good but the rice was gross and I didn’t dare touch the beans. My moms order was wrong, asked for a burrito bowl and got a regular burrito. Had to go inside to pay because they took forever to come out with the check.

My husband and I don’t get to Plattsburgh as often as we would like, but when we do, The Pepper is a top choice for us. Great atmosphere and staff. The food, of course, is the best part. And the margaritas aren’t bad either. Portion size is larger than you would expect. I had fish tacos and had never seen them so big. We can’t wait to go back!
