We arrived without a reservation, we didn’t know reservations were recommended. Lou explained the menu and our options. We’re very big on customer service and he did not disappoint. My husband and I tried their House Drinks. They were good. We had their Turkey necks and Alligator for Appetizers both seasoned and delicious. I tried the catfish with waffles. My husband tried their seafood platter. Seasoned to Perfection! Dessert: Peach Cobbler, I had to find the Peaches so much dough just the way I like it. Lol My husband had their Bread Pudding, he loved it. The Jazz playing in the background, the ambience was amazing! I suggest you try it for yourself. I wish every restaurant had a Lou, we would probably go out more. Amazing Experience!

Delicious / tasty food, excellent customer service, great atmosphere. My family and I dined in one evening for dinner. It was our first time dining here. Mr. Louis greeted us with such a warm and pleasant personality. The food was soooo delicious from the appetizers to dessert. So, for appetizers we enjoyed the seasoned baked turkey necks, fried boudin balls, stuffed shrimp, and bacon wrapped shrimp. My daughters had the chicken and waffles entree, I had the seafood platter, and my husband had the fried catfish platter with red beans & rice and jambalaya. Then we tried the egg soup, omg. I will never eat anyone else’s egg soup. For dessert we had beignets, and the bread pudding. EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING was to die for. We will definitely be back. Thanks for such a great family night.

Y’all, when I say The Pelican House has the best beignets ever, believe me! They are flaky, soft, and sweet on the outside and melt in your mouth y’all- Better than Cafe Du Monde!

I had the pleasure of being treated to Sunday brunch by my beautiful daughter for my 61st birthday. The food was good, including the mimosas, the overall ambience was great, and the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL! Louis and the other staff made my birthday a really special event and I enjoyed every moment! I definitely recommend checking this place out, especially for brunch.

Listen, this was the BEST Cajun and authentic New Orleans food I’ve had. we had the chicken spring rolls to start and then had the seafood platter and oxtails. OMG! And they have this punch… after two cups I felt so good! 10/10 recommend. Be sure to make a reservation.

Let me start by saying Let’s Gueax! If you want some authentic Louisiana food this is definitely the spot to check out. We ordered “Mama’s Fish and Waffles” for our boys, my husband got the “Mardi Gras Trio” and I got the “Seafood Trio” and a bowl of seafood gumbo. The crab cakes were so good and the right amount of spice and the red beans and rice almost gave me a foodgasmn, lol, and the jambalaya was on point too. We got the raspberry tea and my husband got the “House Drank” and the both really good as well.

Googled nearby restaurants while visiting my sister and decided on this spot because I love Cajun/Seafood. Let me tell you, absolute diamond of Duncanville and anywhere nearby. Not only was the service superb but the food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The moment you walk in the door you get a warm welcome and the continued warmth doesn’t stop until you walk out the door. The Cajun food was the best I have ever had. They don’t over season like many Cajun restaurants do. Perfect amount of seasoning so you can taste the freshness of the meat and have that Cajun flavor. I love that it’s a family business also!! If you’re in the area or not, highly recommend.
