We were excited to try out this diner that has just recently opened in Webster Groves. Okay, it hasn’t opened that recently, but it’s a new restaurant to us because we moved away to Arizona in 2019. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday and the place was nearly empty.
This place is cute inside. Very casual, with hints of forest green and burnt orange. Various seating options such as a bar, tables and booths. The first negative we experienced was the service. Our server said it was his first day, and I do understand. However, it took us 30
minutes to order food. Multiple other servers were sitting in a booth behind us chatting loudly, and didn’t once offer to help us.
The food, once it finally came out, was good but not great. The Cookies and Cream Shake was really creamy and had a great flavor, but the portion was pretty small. Same with the entrees, my Cheeseburger was pretty yummy and my Mom enjoyed her BLT, but the portions were tiny.
I personally wouldn’t come back in recent days, mostly due to the poor service. The food and atmosphere were nice, but the service needs a revamp.

What an unexpected gem. While chasing a lifelong dream of traveling across the U.S. with no set timeline or destination, I stumbled upon The Parkmoor and couldn’t be happier that I did. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with red-skin mashed potatoes, and not a single bite was left behind. Absolutely delicious.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, the apple pie à la mode arrived. Incredible.
A special thank-you to my server, Amy, who made the entire experience even better with outstanding service. I highly recommend this spot. If you’re anywhere nearby, it’s a must-visit

I love the vibe of this place, and the decor was lively. The background music was nice too and I caught myself singing several times. The food was good and quick, and you can customize. Since it was my first time, I wanted to take a minute and really take in the menu, and while the wait staff was attentive.. My party felt rushed to make a decision on ordering. Once a party tells you they are new, my only observation is to let the new clientele take it all in and give them the space to do so. I’d recommend this restaurant still.

We arrived shortly after breakfast had ended as a party of two and were greeted very quickly by a friendly young lady, which was a great first impression.
Our waiter came over shortly after and seemed very relaxed, to say the least. Since breakfast was over, we decided to order the chicken and waffles—and they were amazing. The waffles were fluffy, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. I requested a side of eggs, and so did my friend, and we were able to get them cooked exactly how we like them.
Our waiter checked on us multiple times, which we appreciated—although it was very speedy, lol. When it was time to go, he brought us our checks, and the price for our meals was very reasonable.
The only issue we experienced was when the waiter accidentally switched our cards while closing out the tabs. My only suggestion would be for him to slow down a bit, as that type of mistake shouldn’t happen. I understand that mistakes happen, especially since he was moving quickly, but it’s still worth mentioning.
Overall, it was a really good experience, and I would definitely come back.

Large windows facing Lockwood make for a bright and open space. The king burger with cheese fries was good, as well as onion rings Also has a few sidewalk tables. Don’t forget dessert! Pro tip: best chocolate shake in town!

The original The Parkmoor was torn down years ago, but it held deep meaning for my family. Several relatives met there, dated there, and even married after meeting there. It was part of our family history — one of those places that felt woven into our story.
Coming back to this area always brings that nostalgia with it. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience couldn’t have been further from what that legacy represented.
We were seated by the hostess and then simply… sat. And sat. No one acknowledged us. No server came by. No “We’ll be right with you.” Staff walked past our table multiple times. The hostess was sitting at the bar on her phone, and another employee stood nearby looking in our direction, yet no one stepped in to help.
Eventually, we had to leave because we were running out of time before our game.
It wasn’t just about waiting — it was the complete lack of hospitality and awareness. The atmosphere felt indifferent and unwelcoming. For a night that began with sentimental memories of what this area once meant to our family, it ended in frustration.
I sincerely hope management takes guest service more seriously. No one should feel invisible after being seated.

Place decor is cool! Very good theming. Portion sizes are HUGE so definitely worth coming if you’re hungry. The food itself was pretty average, but tasted fine. Very greasy in general. Service was good and attentive enough. I recommend the king burger! The onion rings are just alright, as is the parlor dog.

First time to the new Parkmoor. Use to go the original. The food, service and inviting atmosphere did not disappoint. We will be back. My son got the chicken and waffles. Still don’t know how they got that chicken so crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. That’s right! I said it. Moist! I hate that word but that chicken was so good it’s got me saying it. And I’m pretty sure those pretzel bites were donuts masquerading as pretzels.
