Bright blue hut serving oysters, lobster, crab and seafood mains indoors and on a covered terrace.

What a great little hidden gem. We went for dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff are all so friendly. We brought our dog who also was well looked after. We started with scallops and oysters. For main we had mussels which I needed dairy free, no problem at all and still full of flavour. My husband had sea bass which was cooked to perfection.
Sadly we was too full to try any desserts.
We will definitely be returning again and recommending to any friends who head this way.

We had such a delicious meal at this lovely cozy place, make sure to make phone reservation in advance as it’s always busy specially around weekends and bank holidays. Parking could be an issue as well. Bring less cars if you are big crowd.
The crew were amazing, so friendly and patient to take our order, which was later served with smiles and care, food was fresh, hot and super delicious. Make sure to check the catch of the day board in your way in. Thank you for such lovely meal.

What can help make the nice ambiance in this shack & the good (not spectacular) food even better is if the staff (particularly the middle aged white guy & woman around mid-20s) can show a little more care and improve his service & communication. He just didn’t seem like he’s bothered to treat us nicely at all. It’s a place people go to enjoy friends/family time. Don’t ruin it with negative energy. It does not take much to make people feel welcome.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at this family-friendly restaurant on a recent holiday in Devon. The fish was all freshly barbecued and the outdoor covered seating was perfect for a summer evening. Would recommend this quirky restaurant if you’re visiting the area.

What a fantastic find! We popped in for lunch, to sample their delicious oysters and we were delighted by the whole experience. The staff were incredibly accommodating of us, considering we hadn’t booked. The menu a fantastic selection, everything that came out of the kitchen looked incredible. Our Oysters were some of the best we’ve ever eaten, and washed down with superb wines. We then drove down to the river and watched the beautiful sunset. It could not have been a better experience, we will be back!

We had a lovely evening for my mums birthday. There were just two serving staff & they were amazing. They managed a full & busy restaurant with calm, pleasant & efficient skill. I really was very impressed – really I would have expected x3 floor staff or x2 floor & a bar staff but they did it all!! Thank you & well done

Amazing sea food with a great combination of flavours. Everything was cooked perfectly and we loved the truffle slaw. Monkfish was delicious. Love that it’s dog friendly too.
Was looking forward to the marmalade pudding after seeing some reviews, but it was just a normal steamed pudding really, but still tasty.

Really lovely spot – staff were really friendly but quite slow. Loved the oysters but if you love oysters, recommend just going raw dog with a vinaigrette rather than drowning in sauce. The bbq fish looked delicious and the octopus tostada was incredible!!!

First discovered this place by accident last year and wanted to return, as we enjoyed such a great meal then and wasn’t disappointed. My husband chose the catch of the day, with my son having the kids version. I decided to have 2 starters, the tacos & spider crab croquettes along with an oyster, with the truffle & hazelnut dressing, which was absolutely delicious. Would advise you book a table, although we were lucky and there was a table free but we visited early in the evening. There are good looking veggie options. Looking forward to our next visit.

I loved this place. The location is totally unexpected. As soon as you walk in, it looks and feels like a shack.
The service was exemplary. Attentive, friendly, efficient.
The food was the best we had in Devon. The octopus and the king prawn croquettes were to die for.
Book early, as it’s hard to get a table!
