Historic area, museum, local beer and waterfront location. Extremely casual and interesting. Raw oysters on a Friday once a month. A famous ship usually docked there that you can see and it does scheduled rides. Really nice people work there.

Fried oyster and fried fish sandwiches at picnic tables under cover on a 93° day with a breeze. Delightful.

Stopped by to get a bite to eat saw something on face book. Great atmosphere because it sits right on the water not a lot of tables. They have a raw bar which they had some good oysters and A J s pub where you can get craft beers 4 or 5 to pick from and some wine. The food took forever and it was not good. Cold and my soft taco shell was stale. It’s a Shame it could be good but they need better food and maybe a manager or something it seemed as though no one there ever worked in a restaurant before. They said they opened at 12 noon the oyster guy wasn’t ready to serve oysters until 1. We ordered our food at 12:15 didn’t get until an hour later.disappointing.

Seating dirty. Food is hit or miss. Prices do not reflect food quality. Friends food came raw then had 2 wait long time 2 get other meal. Younger waitresses/cashier not friendly. Older waitress was wonderful and fast. Her service was exceptional. Shucker was friendly and informative about oysters. Music great and surroundings peaceful and beautiful.

This place has the potential of being a 5. But a couple things need to be addressed. 1 small area for having a beer or wine. Running out of food. And the music selection they play horrendous. But the food was good what we were able to order & ambiance of being outside on pier was great! We will be back because the food was good.

Sadly, this is a place to avoid. Until they get their stuff back together, it is a ripoff and may soon end up closing. Lousy, over-priced food and pathetic service. Fired the good chef. None of the meals were freshly prepared. If oysters are your specialty, you would think the oyster bar would be open on a Friday night. Stay clear. Makes me sick to get ripped off, but I feel worse about soon losing another So. Jersey restaurant.

Came in for a late lunch, early dinner. Luckily there was some live music to pass the time. We placed our order, went to the raw bar to pick up our raw oysters which were excellent. But beyond that I have nothing else to say.there were only a few tables. We never got our meal. Waited for well over an hour, no one came around to inquire. By that point it wasn’t even worth the hassle for a refund or to take it to go. Very disappointing.

Not recommended! The food was pretty expensive and took an hour to get our order (2 fish tacos and chicken tenders and some fries ). The order came out cold! Fish tacos were far from the best and the chicken tenders looked to be from a freezer bag.

This is an amazing, cozy little hidden gem of a restaurant on the Maurice River. The food and service was excellent. The inside was nice and clean. Next door is a museum, which kids would love. I highly recommend visiting. If you like my review please like and follow me…
