The Outpost Bar and Grill offers a rustic pub feel with crafty food options. We are located right on Watchic lake on route 113 in Standish. Our menu consists of handhelds such as burgers, sandwiches, and tacos. Handmade pizzas, a wide variety of appetizers and salads. We have a full service bar, twenty draft lines and specialty cocktails. Come check us out!

The service was top notch! The waitress helped us pick some really interesting beers to taste. The portions were enormous. We also enjoyed sitting next to the lake, immersed in nature.

Ordered take out for my family. This is the “chicken fingers” that was supposed to come with fries and pickles. One piece of chicken? What a joke. And this is my “side salad” – which is nothing more than wilted pieces of lettuce.

New owner and invigorated management. Welcome Nathan and family to the neighborhood. Lovely canoe trip across Watchic Lake and the inlet to the Outpost, serving soul food and a range of beers on tap (including a few craft and IPAs). I had succulent buffalo wings with blue cheese and fried seasonal mixed vegetables. Staff friendly, service fast; seating inside or outside on the inlet/garden, and takeaway possible. BEWARE the grill does go off 2 hours prior to closing, at that point they only serve fried food and pizza. We went there for pizza so that wasn’t an issue at all. We really enjoyed the fried veggies, their ranch was bomb!!! I also really liked both pizzas. A great selection of beers and the bartender was great and on top of her game!!

The fish & chips were really good despite being a tad bit over a tad bit overcooked. I’m so bummed to see that this item is off their menu. I had really hoped to go back to experience a 5 star fish & chips. I was going to stop in the other day but not having the meal I wanted made me go someplace else. I. Going to keep looking to see if they’re serving it again. My friend throughly enjoyed his meal. Sorry, been a while so I don’t recall what he had. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving them a try!!

No greeting, didn’t know if we should seat ourselves or wait? Menu on line way less the menu they give you. Do not get poutine fries, way under cooked, chicken was a torn up one tender with a charge of $3 . Drink was strawberry flavoring no alcohol. I would not ever go back because owner I don’t think will learn from the criticism. Good luck

My husband and I ordered take out. We were told on the phone 20-30 minutes for it to be ready which is totally fine. When we got there we were told it’d be another 15 minutes which we also were not bothered by because we had gotten there a little early. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food to come out. We ordered on the phone around 4:45pm and did not receive our food until 6:10pm and the food was only okay. Had we not already paid we surely would have left. Also, if they had told us there would be a long wait, or given us a reason for taking so long, we may not have been so put off. Now we really don’t have any desire to go back. Which is a bummer because they are right down the road. It will be a long time before we are willing to order from there again.
