We ate there Friday. Food was good, service great, and a good selection of beers. We will go back!

I took the wife to the Ottaray for Valentine’s dinner. Ian, our server was outstanding. Attentive but did not rush us at all. The bbq oysters were outstanding. The Caesar salad was one of the best salads I ever had. The wife had the scallops. Cooked perfectly and she raved about the creamed corn accoutrements. I had their version of surf and turf. The filet was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. The bbq shrimp was a surprise how perfectly seasoned they were
Kudos for the outstanding meal and service

Excellent seafood and very good service at a fair price. The She Crab Soup, the Outer Banks Sea Scallops and the Smoked Salmon Carpaccio were all excellent. The Conneticut style lobster roll was very good, but I would have rather paid a little more and received more lobster. It was still a generous sandwich. The prices were a little on the high side, but given the food quality, the value was there. Our server, Greg, did a fine job. He was welcoming, helpful and knowledgable. He seemed a little overwhelmed by the number of guests he was serving. The atmosphere was decorated pleasantly, but the noise level was a little high. I am looking forward to a return visit.

Hey, We had an amazing time at Ottaray today! I’ve been craving oysters for ages, and we finally decided to this place a try. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality is top-notch. We had two appetizers: a dozen oysters and calamari. Our main dishes were fish and chips and the seafood nachos. The total came to $99, plus tax and tip, which was $119 and some change. I’m being transparent so you know what to expect, but it was definitely worth it for a special occasion. Our server was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

The food is always good and hot. The food has so much flavor. My only complaint was the shrimp and grits. The first time I had it the tomato gravy was thick and chunky, this time the gravy was thin and watery(the 2nd picture of the shrimp and grits was the first time I had it). I will get it again and send it back if it’s not right. But overall everything is amazing. Hard to get piping hot food consistently. Great customer service too.

We had the BEST dinner! She crab soup was delicious. The fried green tomatoes were AMAZING, and we split the Land & Sea plate. Everything came out in a timely manner and Mel the bartender was super knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back!

Dinner tonight at Ottaray Raw Bar and Taphouse – WOW! First time here. The ambience is amazing. Regan our server made us feel right at home and was incredibly nice & attentive. The drink and beer selection are wonderful. Then, the food… we started with the oysters, which were fantastic and then lobster roll & crab cakes. I can’t even begin to describe how delicious these meals were. I just know that we’ll be back again and again.

My boyfriend and I were on the hunt for a great oyster spot – The Ottaray Raw Bar & Taphouse, this place totally hit the mark. Not only were the oysters great, but they also had some tasty food options, good beer, cocktails, and really solid service. We went for a Father’s Day outing, and it ended up being perfect. They had a great selection of oysters from different states, and each one came with a little flavor description, like sweet, briny, or salty, which was super helpful. We also got the calamari, and wow… it was so tender and came with a sweet jam and savory aioli that worked really well together. And of course we could not pass up the dessert – peach bread pudding, yummy!
It’s definitely a bit on the pricey side, so more of a date night or special dinner kind of place. The vibe is nice and the decor is elegant. Shout out to our server Sabrina—she was awesome! Enjoy!

My girlfriend and I went there to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great time. They have 20+ beers on tap and our cocktails were really good.

The food was delicious, we got the Lobster Roll (Mass style), blackened snapper, PEI Muscles and grilled oysters that came with bacon on top. The food came out all at the same time which we asked for and was delicious.

It wasn’t too busy, but not dead. The atmosphere was pleasant and gave an upscale feeling. Our server Stacey, was very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. It always makes the dining experience enjoyable with an happy/friendly server and she did exactly that.

All-in-all we had a great time and will come back again!

Don’t listen to these people who gave this place a good rating. They are not foodies and probably eat at Hardee’s. I did this review while I was still seated in this restaurant! Whoever is in this kitchen come to the front!! The macaroni and lobster was liquid highway and the lobster was made in a tire factory. Rubbery! Lobster so rubbery, we couldn’t chew it. One of the waiters stopped to tell us the dish looked runny. Like the sauce was trying to run back to that half of a chef in the kitchen for some flavor and thickening. Brown butter scallops…..total crime scene! That had to have been Walmart butter turned brown butter. The scallops were not cooked all the way! The mussels had a seaweed taste. One and done! Hope to avoid an ER trip on that one.
This restaurant was over hyped. Whoever served this should be forced to eat it! We were the only people of color in this restaurant, but even the Caucasian people next to us were getting tons of apologies from the wait staff for how bad their food was. The service was great, and that’s unfortunate because the service definitely doesn’t match the food. We thugged this out because our waiter and the other waiter were such decent people.

Waste of really good money. And I forgot to get a photo of the muscles!!!!!

Great first time dining experience with Taylor running the front of the house and being our server. She was a delight and even though they were very busy she made sure we had excellent service, honestly thought she was part owner they way she cared. The food was very delicious, we got 3 entrees to try a few things, the fish and chips was by far some of the best in Greenville and the scallops were cooked to perfection! Drinks were unique and tasty with a kick. Overall we were excited for this new restaurant and look forward to coming back with friends.
