Took my dad for his birthday. We drove about 1 hr 45min and it was well worth it. I can’t say enough about this place in all aspects. The staff was awesome and welcoming. The salad bar and the warm rolls could fill you up if you wanted to. The portions were very generous. We enjoyed the Veal trio, seafood pasta bowl and the rouladen. Can’t wait to find a reason to go back!

Some friends showed me this place. I wish I would have found out about it sooner! Great food, friendly staff, and Jim behind the bar is always great. My wife loves the pineapple upside down martini! I’ve been there several times and never had a bad experience. Oh, and the salad bar is great, always fresh! 10/10!

The updated exterior is fantastic! It has been decades since the facade was updated, Kudos! Love the salad bar. Steak had great flavor, but was a little chewy. Baked Haddock STELLAR!! SO GOOD! Prices were comparable to everywhere else. Under staffed for the amount of people in the restaurant, but good staff is hard to find. The staff the have worked their tails off. This could be a one off, but a whole group of very very, slur speeched drunk people came in. They proceeded to belly up to the bar and shout. Because drinking must have made them deaf. The bartender was very cordial and just keep working away one by one. KUDOS TO HIM for being so patient!

I live up in the UP but a group of us try to get here a couple times a year. The food is amazing, everything is cooked to perfection and seasoned well. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny. The staff is friendly and courteous, serving up classic German fare. If you’re looking to just wet your whistle, they have a well stocked bar and you can even order a LITER of beer! They also do hot apple cinnamon drinks that are perfect dinner drinks. The salad bar which comes with most if not all dinners has a wide range to suit whatever your fancy is in a salad. The wait time can be a little long at times, but bring a friend and socialize!

We have been here many times but last night compelled me to post a review. Our drinks and meals were truly delicious. They offer a robust menu but I can’t see myself ever ordering something other than a traditional German dish because they are so good. My favorite is the jaeger schnitzel with spaetzle as the side. Don’t pass on the included hot bread or the salad bar. It’s cash only but there is an ATM onsite if you need it. Enjoy!

I just wish they had an option to accept credit card. Other than that, loved the experience and first time eating Schnitzel (pictured her), very good flavor and crunch. Fresh tasting salad bar at no extra charge was my favorite aspect of dining here.

We were seated immediately, and the service was outstanding. The food was very delicious. It is a cash only restaurant which was fine with us. If you get a chance, you need to go and try them out. We will be going.

Food was ok to good. One of us had fish and Weiner schnitzel combo. The other had Jager schnitzel. The sauce was kind of flavorless.
