Enjoyed a scrumptious turkey rueben on marbled rye and my wife was delighted with the cherry crepes. Very busy but wait time was short. Shout out to our waitress, Angela for suggestions and fulfilling our dining needs. The restaurant has its own parking lot but there is also parking on the street in case the lot is filled.

Well done steak when ordered medium rare, egg shells in the Dutch baby and missing pancake sides. I hope they put more care into the food served within the restaurant. The carryout sucks.

I’ve never heard of the original house of pancakes before my trip to Dallas. I’m a huge ihop fan for comfort breakfast food, so I wanted to get a sense of why the original pancake house isn’t as widely popular. I was first *shocked* by the calorie counts of the dishes. Pancakes with 1000 calories?! There were several dishes with close to or over 2000 calories. That was my first warning sign.

The Original Pancake House was a delightful experience for before our drive back home.

Respectfully, this place could be better. The food felt as if it was prepped before order and it didn’t have all the ingredients listed. I ordered a Turkey Wrap w/ bacon and hash-browns (crispy/well done). I called after placing my order online to make sure the hash-browns were crispy. When I received my food it didn’t come with bacon, the hash browns were mushy which didn’t give a great taste, and the tortilla was cold, not to mention it was suppose to be a tomato basil wrap. Overall I was really dissatisfied that I ordered this for lunch. I don’t recommend ordering online, but hopefully you’ll get a better experience if you order within the restaurant.

We were lucky and seated immediately on a Sunday morning around 930am. I got the meat lovers omelet, side of cheese grits and Belgian waffle. It was delicious. Kiara provided superb customer service. This is a spot we can definitely check out again when in Dallas

Tasty breakfast and delicious coffee ☕️ , but the wait time was unacceptable and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Wow, why have we been sleeping on this place. We last went there for our commitment ceremony breakfast 13 years ago, and have been missing out ever since. Went there this morning for my husband’s birthday breakfast. Food was fantastic! I had a short stack of blueberry pancakes and my other half had a short stack of pumpkin pecan pancakes. Then we split an order of scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything was perfection! The pancakes were really light, and I mean that in a good way. I didn’t have the heavy feeling I often have after pancakes. And the flavors were on point. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon. Well, I normally like my bacon crispy, but I now appreciate the benefit of a nicely cooked thick slice of bacon. And the icing on the cake (or the whipped cream on the pancake) was the service and staff. Amber the manager seated us and then checked in on us later introducing herself and even asking for our names!! We definitely got the feeling they wanted us to return. And our server Hunter was so friendly and helpful. When we were struggling to make a decision (we can be picky!) he came up with just the right suggestions. And on top of it all, the prices were reasonable. Just overall a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend The Original Pancake House.

My family and I decided to visit today. We were not disappointed in any way! The team provided smiles immediately as we entered the doors, the hostess was prompt, and the waitress Jennifer gave excellent service. Our food was fresh and every morsel was delectable. Amber came by after the meal to make sure we were satisfied, and you just don’t see this level of service these days. Thank you Original Pancake House for you impeccable service!

Service was great. The guy at the door helped us with a walker and made sure we had the booth we felt comfortable with. The waitress was nice, and got the order 100% correct. However.. the food was absolutely terrible. The bacon was limp and floppy almost undercooked, the crepes….got 3 orders of French crepes, and I’m sorry to say that Denny’s makes a better crepe then The Original Pancake House. These were crepes, but smothered in strawberry sauce, and topped with fresh strawberries. No cream, no whipped cream, and there was so much strawberry sauce, that the crepes were soggy. Service was great, food, not so great.
