Brought my son here for a mommy and son breakfast. We waited to be seated for about 5-10 mins … we got to our table and were asked what we would like to drink and so we ordered and 15 mins go by and we are asked by another server what we were having to drink and what we would like to order.. I let her know again and we ended up waiting another 10-15 mins for drinks. We sat waiting for food for another 30-35 mins and I had to remind the waitress that I had also order a side that had not been brought to the table. By the time we got all our food I had to ask for boxes to take it home since we had been there for almost a hour just waiting and I had places to be at a certain time. We got our bill and it says $37 ok no big deal but when I got charged I was charged for $39… not a huge difference but not sure why there was an extra charge added.
The food is very good here, the time management is what needs help. The waitress was a sweetheart but I would have to block out 2 hours of my day for breakfast to come back here again.

Extremely busy when we arrived on a Saturday morning (expected). Service was okay. Portion sizes are very large and tasty.
Big breakfast menu. Overall, would come again but the price point is a bit high for breakfast- the large portions you can say make up for the price point.
Side note: if you are dairy free- they use butter when making their hashbrowns and other items.

Cute nostalgic interior. Good friendly service. Hubby got blueberry pancakes and it was four large pancakes with eggs. He said they were ok. He thought they were buckwheat. I had biscuits with gravy. Two biscuits were buried in a sea of gravy. If you love sausage gravy, it’s for you. Otherwise you might get gravy on side.

It was fairly quick to get a table, however we had to wait for over an hour for our food once we sat down. The manager voluntarily apologized and explained that they were short one cook and wait staff member. We were very patient and understanding but it was so disappointing to receive most of our breakfast order at room temperature or less than room temperature. My daughter also didn’t receive her hot coco she had ordered and at that point we didn’t even want to ask for it since we had to wait so long for our other food items. We felt like we were a bother which made for an uncomfortable experience. My strawberry crepes were really good though but I don’t think we will ever be back. It was just way too chaotic and you hate to feel like a bother to get what you want. It’s also more expensive than other really good breakfast places in the area.

We stopped by this place before heading to the commencement at Notre Dame. We were able to walk in and were seated immediately which was nice for a Sunday morning. Our server was bright and bubbly, and this place has the feel of a small town hang where the staff knows their regulars.

It has an extensive menu with lots of diner type options, and is super affordable. However, it took us 35 minutes to get our food, which was disappointing. We had to eat really quickly. It would have been understandable if they were really busy, but they weren’t.

Luckily, the food was yummy. We just couldn’t really enjoy it since we had to rush.

We had high hopes pulling in as the parking lot was fairly packed on a Monday afternoon.
The portions are large here. On most of the tables. There was plenty of food left over. That was definitely the case with us.
The wait staff was very friendly. Place resembles a old style diner. Now to the food.
Maybe it’s just Indiana cuisine, but I was not a fan of any of the food. The pancakes were thin and dry. Although they had ok flavor. The syrup was not syrupy. It was very runny. Maybe that’s an Indiana thing. The Omelette I got was a farmer’s omelette. The gravy was just okay at best. The Omelette was baked. Not something I’m used to. Came out very thick and flavorless. The potatoes had a weird flavor that I can attribute to a dirty griddle or maybe cooked in grease from something else, but they were not palatable. Not to mention they were not warm.
Overall my meal was not very tasty at all. I would not recommend going here. The wife got pigs in a blanket. Very simple sausage link wrapped in pancake and doused with powdered sugar. The pancakes are buttermilk style but you can get a variety. Our food was consistent with other tables and I did notice that every table had a lot of leftover food. So like I said the portions are very large. I had a few bites of everything and concluded that it wasn’t going to get better. The environment is friendly and clean. But a little dated.
This is just my review. My tastes may not be the same as yours.

Nice family style restaurant. Great service. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. The quantities were great. You won’t go hungry here.

Our meal here was good as always. The portion size for everything is large so you will definitely leave filled up. I’ve added some photos to demonstrate the nice portion sizes. One thing to note if you are sitting in a booth next to a window is that there is a fair amount of air leakage coming through around the windows which can feel very drafty on a cold day.

I haven’t been back here since I was a kid and the service and food really brought back the nostalgia.

I was here for one thing and one thing only, their apple pancake which takes 25 minutes to make. It was worth every minute and Penny. Our server enthusiastically brought it to our table and affectionately referred to it as diabetes on a plate lol.

At a whopping 1800 calories for the dish she wasn’t kidding. That being said, it tasted exactly like my childhood (maybe even better). The sugar was caramelized, the apples were think cut, and the dough was crunchy on the outside and warm and chewy in the middle. Paired with an ever ending cup
Of coffee, this breakfast was divine!

The service really deserves a shout out as well. I can’t remember our servers name but she was great and all the servers did an excellent job of making sure we always had coffee. This place still lives up to my childhood memories and is a solid place for breakfast still in the area!

The food was very good and everyone had huge portions. Our waitress was super nice. I only gave 4 stars for the atmosphere because it was sooo loud in there. People were just talking over each other and it sounded like you were in a bar trying to hear the people you were with at your table talk. I still have plans to go back.
