The food was great. Our server was just okay. He was not attentive. Our drinks ran empty with no refills. When you’re paying $3+ for a soda, you would expect a refill at some point. Otherwise it was great. Our food was exactly as ordered, all sauces reauested were delivered as well. Auto-gratuity of 18% for 5+, even when when between the 5 of us, it was 2 checks, was a bit odd. Keep that in mind if dining here in a group. Parking is a nightmare, but it’s the Kenwood mall so what would you expect. The chicken fried rice was delicious. I added teriyaki sauce to it. My boyfriend got the teriyaki chicken and didn’t know it had mushrooms. He picked out a ton of mushrooms. The Sunday morning roll was great as well as the rangoons (you get 5 of them)

One of my go to sushi places! 50 % off for dine in, always treated so well by staff and the food is so good I have a hard time deciding what to get! Love the Bearcat roll and the shrimp tempora as well. You can’t go wrong with any pick! Try a seat at the bar too.

Worst I’ve ever been too. Waited over an hour for food. Two other groups that arrived after us got their food and they finished eating it before we got ours. Matter of fact I never got my order so I didn’t eat. I ordered the lobster roll and it never arrived. Waiter said he wasn’t told they were out of lobster. When I mentioned 2 groups that arrived after us were already finished, all he said was that he doesn’t control the kitchen. I will not be back.

Located in the Kenwood Mall area near the main entrance on Montgomery road, this restaurant is a place to try.

With my order was Korean fried chicken with a side of rice. It has a nice crunch texture & soft inside, with a light kick of heat. Drizzled with a sweet sauce, it’s bound to put you into a food coma alone. Accompanied with it was spicy salmon sushi rolls & firecracker specialty.

The salmon sushi was as what you’d expect it to taste, but the fire cracker that comes with eel sauce if I remember correctly, adds a flavorful taste in your mouth. To wash down the food, it was a glass of water & a Lychee Martini (alcoholic beverage). Light hints of Lychee & a kick of that good stuff.

Yes. I ate all that on my own.

Servers seem to not care as much but just there because of the job.

Food is always good but service is consistently terrible. Server was nice and knowledgeable but we didn’t get our rice until we were finished with our sushi and were never offered any refills. The hostess and host that were present could not have been worse. 3 people standing there and barely spoke to us. Then we’re told 40 minute wait just to get to the other end of the mall (less than 10 minutes later) and texted table was ready but when we went to check in they asked for our name instead of the phone number which was all they asked to be put on the list. And just generally unfriendly each time we’ve come in.

We came on Sunday for lunch. Not too busy, especially it’s located at Kenwood Mall (by Nordstrom). The food was good. Portion was big for lunch. Our server was quick and friendly. We had beef bulgogi with white rice, fried calamari, spicy tuna roll (which was delish), and gyoza.

Great lunch stop. Service is excellent. I was in and out quickly. They had great fresh sushi and some really interesting rolls. The rice was fresh and sticky. I enjoyed the hot mama roll. It had tuna and siracha. Just enough heat! The Wassabi was also fresh with a nice heat. One of the better sushi stops in my travels.

Wow. I went here on Friday for the first time, took my dad and son to eat. My total was 42.04.. I wake up this morning to a 50.04 charge. I did not add a tip on my card. I had a male server ( I don’t have his name, I but know exactly who he is,) who rarely checked on us and had very few words to say to us. So why did he add a tip on my order? I will be there today to talk management. Although I enjoyed our food, I will not be back when the staff is dishonest.

I don’t write food reviews often, but my experience with Aroma today was awful. I am Celiac and therefore gluten intolerant. I ordered through an app and wrote in detail to not include tempura and to change gloves/utensils used. I also called the restaurant before I put in my order to confirm that they will see the comment section on the app. Two of the 4 rolls came with tempura (contains gluten) and in the same container as the other 2 rolls (cross contaminated). I immediately called the restaurant and got transferred to the manager. The manager was extremely rude on the phone and verbatim said, “well what can I say, you should have read the menu better”. She was dismissive and just wanted to hang up. She then said the menu has GF options, and that we can just drive to the store to see it. The menu on the app does NOT have a gluten free section. Not just was this manager unprofessional, but showed no sign of understanding nor competence in understanding food allergies. This is very disappointing. If you are celiac or have a gluten allergy, do NOT come to Aroma. You might personally be blamed if they give you a roll with gluten.
