I recently visited Joey O’s and it turned out to be an unexpected gem. The atmosphere gives you a true Chicago-style vibe, with sports jerseys, team banners, and a relaxed, welcoming setting that makes you feel comfortable right away.

The service truly stood out. The young woman who assisted me had a stylish and confident presence, and her attention to detail elevated the entire experience. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect.

The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — you can taste the quality in every bite.

Staff was super nice and friendly. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Unfortunately the bread was stale and the cookies in banana pudding were soggy. The sides were very good though! I had potato salad and pasta salad. I would give one more chance just based off how nice staff was and how quickly the food was made.

We enjoyed our sandwiches. They were fresh and tasty. The guy working the counter was very helpful. I also tried the Texas Chili which was also very good and made properly with NO BEANS.

Felt like a good sandwich place going in, but when I ordered a to-go from them they got the bread type wrong. I got white instead of wheat, I ordered sauce on the side (as it was a option for the type of sandwhich I ordered) and they put the sauce on my sandwhich anyway. I had seen the sizes or there regular sandwiches and was expecting at least 2 meals with the order but for some reason the hot sandwichs are priced just as expensive but half the size. Left with a sandwhich that was dry by the time I got home, with missing additions, wrong bread type, and half the size I expected. Disappointing experience

Great service!
Clean and relaxed atmosphere.
Only complaints…
– Sauerkraut didn’t seem washed which results in it being super sour and salty.
– Hotdog buns could be toasted because all the toppings make them soggy fast.
-Hotdogs could be served a bit warmer because the toppings are cold already.

Just few things I’d like different. But over all the food is great! Can’t wait to go back.

So disappointed as this was my very first visit. I asked the young man for 2 $10.99 Italian subs and when he rang them up, he charged me $12.35 for each sub. The price board inside the restaurant said $10.99 and the website also said $10.99 …so I asked why was I charged $12.35? He said that he didn’t know and that maybe the taxes were included? I said no because the taxes are on a separate line. He then asked me, well do you want to cancel the order? I said no…I’m just looking for an explanation as to why you charged me more than what you you’re advertising, more than you quoted me, more than the sign price and more than the website price? He proceeded to say…if you knew the price on the website, why did you ask me how much it cost? I was taken aback…I asked how much it cost because there were different size sandwiches and this was my first visit. Anyway, never once did this young man offer to refund me the difference which would be the normal and “Right” thing to do. All I got was, I don’t know why the price is different …maybe he changed the prices and hasn’t told us or updated the sign. That’s unacceptable! Don’t quote me a price and then charge me something completely different …but can’t tell me why. Needless to say my first impression was not a good one! No customer deserves that.
Please do better Joey O’s

Cracked pepper turkey with cheese is excellent. The team here is always fast and courteous. Tried a New York dog and I wasn’t impressed. Spicy mustard was good but sourcrout was tasteless, hot dog over cooked, and bun was average. Stick with the sandwiches!

I like the place. It was clean, friendly and fast service. I got the Joey O Italian on the herb bread. It was delicious; the only thing I’ll change next time is ask for more olive oil and vinegar because the bread was just a bit dense for me. However, I plan to be back and will try more of the menu and look forward to it.

Prices have gotten out of control. A footlong veggie was $16.47. Nothing extra was added just the classic veggie. An 8 inch sandwich with only salami and cheese was $12.35. That’s not including chips or drinks. For our family of five the bill was $73. We got no desserts, only two drinks, four sandwiches, one plain hot dog, and four bags of chips.
Nearly $20 a person for to go sandwiches is just too high for us to return. Additionally, the food was just so so.

I’ve driven by this place numerous times over the past three years and visited today on the recommendation by a friend. It did not disappoint. The Italian beef is truly authentic! I’ll be back!
