This is a wonderful place to eat and to just sit and talk with friends and family! It is a warm welcoming environment with great homemade food! The servers are so very welcoming and just plain nice. All the food is homemade from the soups to sandwiches to entrées to baked goods! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Small enough to feel intimate, but big enough to feed a lot of people.

We had dinner for two and it was a 5-star experience. Charming historic atmosphere, outstanding homestyle cooking, and great service for a reasonable price. The stuffed chicken special and chili mac bowl were both excellent with generous portions. We bought a half dozen homemade cookies for takeout which were delicious. This is a destination eatery offering customers a slice of Americana.

Tricky to find from the street (enter via the handicap accessible side door) but a gem of a discovery. Ate there for lunch and even the kids are begging to eat there again! Kids had brunch for lunch with eggs, toast, hashbrowns and sausage with their “like Starbucks” lemonade and I had a vanilla lattae and a smash burger. It was a lovely setting for conversation and cutely antiqued in the inside.

Cute bakery with great ambiance. I stopped to get rolls to go. It was shortly before closing time and the selection was limited, but what I chose was excellent, I’m looking forward to going back when I could stay long enough to order breakfast or lunch.

Finally got around to stopping in to give them a try and instantly regretted not going sooner after the first bite of my Old Stoner burger. All I can say about is WOW, awesome burger. The wife had the Reuben, of course I had try it as well. Was a great Reuben. We took some sweets home for desert. The service was second to none. Looking forward to the next Prime Rib night after this visit.

Such good food, and I never go home hungry. I also can take a baked good home to eat later. The staff is so friendly and the wait for food is quick.

Wow! This is a hidden gem. This is a must!! Small town Iowa usually has the best diners!! This building is historic and has a great story! The food is so good!!! It is very inexpensive!! Awesome atmosphere!! Scrabble blocks at each table! The avocado toast was just the best!! Amazing blend of flavors. Hashbrowns, pancakes, iced coffee and homemade cookies were awesome!! We went on a bike ride and found this place just off the Cedar Valley Bike Trail! This is so good, I’d drive from Cedar rapids to eat here. We will definitely be back!!!
