Quaint and charming little place. Came based on all the positive reviews. Very clean and nice, reasonably priced. I was expecting it to be bigger to be honest. Not that many table for a diner. So You could be waiting a bit if the place fills up quick which was the case when we arrived for valentines day brunch. So if you’re traveling from quite a ways, you go at your own risk. Might be best to stay local.

The New West Orange Diner is officially that spot. I came in hungry and left genuinely emotional (in the best way) because the food was TOO too good. I ordered the pancakes, home fries, and turkey sausage, and let me tell you… every single thing on that plate understood the assignment. The pancakes were fluffy, warm, and just the right amount of sweet—like a hug you can eat. The home fries were perfectly cooked with that crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside magic (I was picking them up like they were snacks and I’m not ashamed). And the turkey sausage? So good I had to pause for a second because I wasn’t expecting it to be hitting like that.

But it’s not just the food—this place has an amazing vibe. It feels welcoming the second you walk in, like the kind of diner you want to bring your friends to and be like, “Trust me.” The service was also top tier: friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, the kind of people who make you want to come back even if you weren’t obsessed with the food… but you will be, so it’s a win-win.

Real talk: this is a real gem. I don’t say that lightly. This is the type of place you randomly find and then suddenly you’re telling everybody about it like you’re on the payroll (I’m not… but I should be). 100/10, highly recommended, and yes—I’m absolutely coming back because one visit was not enough!!!!!

Absolutely loved the New West Orange Diner! The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, which made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a clean, modern touch that still feels cozy and classic. They have the Christmas decor up, it’s so cozy. It’s the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or a casual dinner. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

If breakfast had a fan club, this plate would be the president. The French toast came out golden and perfectly crisp on the edges, soft in the center, and kissed with just enough butter and powdered sugar to make you want to write poetry about brunch. The fried eggs and melted cheese formed a rich, savory duo, while the bacon added that glorious salty crunch that ties it all together like a well-executed symphony of comfort food.

The coffee? Smooth, warm, and strong enough to restore your faith in early mornings. Every sip felt like a friendly wake-up call wrapped in a hug.

Our server was a gem—attentive without hovering, quick with refills, and genuinely cheerful. You could tell they cared about the experience as much as the food itself.

As for the ambience, the sunlight pouring through the window, the soft hum of relaxed chatter, and that comforting aroma of fresh brew made it the kind of place where you lose track of time—in the best way.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A breakfast worth savoring, right down to the last buttery crumb.

Corned beef hash was crispy over easy eggs were gooey, potatoes soft and crispy and peppers fresh

French toast was soft and buttery, and their syrup was 100% real.

The Canadian bacon on the Eggs Benedict was excellent.

This is not your ordinary diner, it’s a cozy spot with authentic Spanish/Latin flavors that make it stand out. The place may be small, but the food and experience are huge. The owners are incredibly friendly, and you can tell the chef really knows what he’s doing. Everything is cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect because of the size, but after one visit I was hooked. Now it’s become my weekly spot. I love that they offer fresh fruit smoothies and juices, and I try a different sandwich every time (although the Chicharrón sandwich is my favorite).

If you’re looking for a breakfast or lunch spot that goes beyond typical diner food, this hidden gem in West Orange is a must-try.

Very small sized diner, almost like a coffee shop. Seating is very comfortable. Very lively and friendly vibe. Staff was super polite. Their iced coffee was amazing. The pancakes and eggs were some of the best I’ve ever had. They give you real sized pancakes too, not ones a tad bigger than a silver dollar. The presentation was second to none, With out a doubt the best this guy has seen. See pictures below. Also the price was very reasonable for what I ordered. Can’t wait to go back!

A great addition to the area!! Food was delicious and the staff were so kind. Prices were reasonable, especially for what other diners are charging in the area. My order was enough for two meals! Great coffee too. It’s not a huge space, but there’s a good mix of 2 tops, 4 tops, a nice counter, and they had a couple 2 tops outside. The kitchen is open to most of the diner which is great because you get to see the talented chef whipping up your food! But it can get a little toasty in there in summer heat given the grills/ovens. They take cash and cards. Definitely going to be a repeat customer going forward!

This diner has quickly become my favorite! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is consistently excellent. I’ve been here twice now, and each time, the quality has been outstanding. One thing I appreciate is the attention to flavor—many diners serve bland batter or French toast, but here, you can really taste the cinnamon. The home fries are a standout for me, perfectly seasoned with peppers for extra flavor, and the fries are always crispy. I love pairing them with hot sauce for an extra kick. On top of that, the owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this place!

This place is newly opened. It was recommended by a local. It is a small location but we called ahead to let them know we would be a large party. It was very early in the morning but they were ready to serve our party of 8. They were very cordial and attentive. The breakfasts were well made. My daughter said her fresh pineapple mango juice was delicious. The portion sizes were good. We couldn’t finish the plate. All in all a great place for a good breakfast. Decently priced as well. There is parking past the shop to your left.
