I have tried several of their dishes.
I would recommend to any one who is missing out on Indo Chinese food.

Must Try-
Soups
Street style fried rice
Street style noodles
Burnt garlic fried rice.

Pretty good ambience.
Love their logo.
They do have some biryani offerings as well.
Some of their appetizers can double as curry for the rotis and naan’s.

Average place for food. We ordered a few dishes and the experience was mixed. About half of the items were good, while the rest didn’t meet expectations.

Liked: Masala Crispy Corn and Street-style noodles were tasty.
Didn’t like: The chicken appetizer and Manchurian were disappointing.

We also tried soda, which wasn’t good, and surprisingly had to pay for water. Overall, an average experience.

I tried Gobi Noodles, Crispy Corn, and Paneer Curry at this restaurant. The taste was good overall, but the Gobi was way too oily — one piece had so much oil it was hard to eat. The Crispy Corn and Paneer Curry were really good though.

We ordered spicy chicken fried rice from this restaurant, and honestly, it was a big disappointment. It took about 30 minutes for them to prepare the food, which was fine, but after a 25-minute drive home, the moment I opened the box, I was hit with an overpowering smell of raw ginger-garlic paste. It felt like they just tossed some rice with ginger, garlic, and peppers for five minutes and packed it up. The smell was so strong that it was impossible to eat.

I don’t know what kind of reviews this place has or how experienced their cooks are, but this was a really bad experience for me. I had to spend another 20 minutes re-cooking the rice myself just to make it somewhat edible. It completely spoiled my day.

Visited The Monks in Irving recently. The ambience was quite nice and welcoming. However, the overall food experience was just average for me. Despite ordering everything medium spicy, most of the dishes were overwhelmingly hot for my taste.
We tried the Dynamite Paneer, Dynamite Chicken, Garlic Noodles, and Paneer Tandoor Momo. The Paneer Tandoor Momo was overly salty, but they were kind enough to replace it with more Dynamite Paneer. While some flavors were good, the spice level overshadowed the experience.

The food was okay. What was disappointing, though, was the service experience.

There were two servers helping our table. The first young woman (with long hair) who initially took our order was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and patient in answering our questions. However, the other waitress seemed quite disengaged. She had her AirPods on and was talking to someone while serving, which felt unprofessional. She placed the noodles on our table without even making eye contact or acknowledging us, and walked away while we were trying to say something.

Good service makes such a difference in dining experiences, and I hope the management takes this feedback constructively to ensure better consistency in staff etiquette.

Very disappointing experience at Monkys twice. The noodles had a strange smell/taste, and our bandi style noodles + tandoori momos order took over 30-40 minutes. When we asked, they said our order wasn’t even in the system and made us wait another 20 minutes. Last time, we even found a stone in the momos, and they only gave a 5% discount with no concern shown. Poor food quality and service

Been coming to this location for a few years and my last two experiences have been below average. Mainly come in for Momos and Dynamite chicken. Quality has deteriorated and tastes have changed, along with the poor and argumentative attitude from the staff. Seems like as the company expands locations, they are losing sight of what’s most important, quality and service. Looking forward to seeing a response from Ownership.

P.S.—please clean your restrooms. They are filthy. It should be cleaned and ready for your customers and for them not to have such a filthy restroom at 615pm while the entire restaurant is empty.

Today we ordered gully and green chilli appetizers. The pictures showed crispy and separate fritters. What we received were soggy Manchurian balls in red and green pungent gravy. Very disappointed. Monks should give me a refund for misleading pictures and menu descriptions.

The food was pretty good! This was my first time eating in the restaurant (I’ve had takeout before – it was also good). The service was pretty lackluster. We were the only ones in the restaurant, yet it took 20-30 minutes for our food to come out. There were 3 women working the front, yet no one ever came to check on us. Also, as someone who drinks a lot of water, I hate that we are provided with bottled water then charged for it. What happened to good old tap water?
