Hot & New… a phrase I love seeing when I find a new eatery in town. Let me start by saying how I like the minimalistic and clean, bright look of the restaurant. The service was great, as our server was so apt to share detailed information on what was on the menu, and the owner checked to make sure everything was good and answered any questions we had. The food… wondrous. We got the lamb pepper fry dish, and it was a nice fusion of Chinese and Indian flavors. It was like you started in China with the initial bite and ended up in India on that last tasteful note. The other two dishes (of which I sadly forgot the name of them) were also delightful. I really think you can’t go wrong with anything you order from here. Definitely get the coconut souffle dessert. It’s dreamy good.

I had been looking for an Indo-Chinese fusion restaurant in Indiana and I am so glad this place opened up. The ambiance is good. The service is great. The food is amazing. Ample parking space is available. They have regular Indian food as well, which I will most likely try next time. I was only a little disheartened when faluda wasn’t available so I had to settle for coconut soufflé, which did not disappoint. Chicken Manchow Soup and the Chili Chicken were stars of the show.

This restaurant is AMAZING! The staff was so friendly and clearly take a lot of pride in their work. The food was delicious and there was so much attention to detail. I had the best mango lassi and naan I’ve ever had. The desserts are exquisite! Absolutely gorgeous. The prices are very reasonable. We just had the best experience here and will definitely be back!

What a nice treat and change from the typical south asian cuisine offered in this area. The flavors were like a symphony in my mouth. The Dal tadka was a very tasty treat compared to the simple version I make. The drums of heaven had a nice crispy layer covered with what tasted like a homemade Manchurian sauce. I want to try the chili sauce next time. The naan came out fresh and hot.l and not too much spice. Prices are reasonable and the service was excellent. There are plenty of vegetarian options and I enjoyed the atmosphere which was like a high end casual dinner environment. We even got to sample a dessert made with young coconut that melted in my mouth. Looking forward to coming back to trying the lunch buffet some time.

I gave up eating Indian food because it was just too heavy a meal for me so hesitated in trying Monk’s. Wow- so happy a couple of weeks ago we went. They have Indian dishes that you don’t see at every Indian restaurant that a lighter. We have eaten there twice in 2 weeks and really like the food. I had the green chili noodles with paneer which was delicious with just a hint of mint. Last night I had the paneer momos (a type of steamed dumpling) The manchow soup was like hot and sour with different spices. The traditional Indian dishes are very good also. I highly recommend!!

Visited this new cushion restaurant in Carmel on a weekend. The place has a modern and bright vibe to it. It is spacious and super clean. We ordered Chat pata corn and Chinese bhel as our appetizers. The portion size is good snd both the items were delicious as typical indo- Chinese items would taste. We were full after eating appetizers but ordered vegetable Manchurian which comes with rice. That was equally awesome. We were also given the complimentary dessert, don’t remember it’s name but it was amazing. Experiencing the perfection of Indo Chinese dishes, I will definitely go back to try out other items on their menu as well.

The Monks was truly an unforgettable experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly waiter and he immediately led us to our table. His food suggestions were immaculate and everything that we ate exceeded our expectations. He recommended the Drums of Heaven as an appetizer and they were outstanding! They were coated in spices that made our scalps perspire in the best way imaginable; if you’re looking for hot drumsticks, forget BWW and come here instead. Our thirsts were quenched by the mango lassi that portrayed authenticity in every sip. As an a entree, we opted for the scrumptious mangurian and street style rice and noodles which was the perfect addition to our dinner. The chicken to sauce ratio was absolutely perfect. Besides the food, the atmosphere was impeccable and comforting. There were multiple tvs playing Bollywood scenes that transported your mind to a faraway fantasy. The dining areas and restrooms were clean which was much appreciated. All in all, we leave our compliments to the chef and to the waitstaff; our only regret was not getting our waiter’s name to give him the proper thanks he deserves. The monk’s team give really wonderful surprise for birthday wishes

Decent Indo-Chinese items. We ordered tandoori momos, daal tadka and Szechuan Chicken noodles and they were pretty good. Great service. Nice parking.
