We’re not usually huge Indian food fans. But a ton of our friends are so we keep trying new places. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. Very flavorful and each dish tasted different which is important as we have found in the past that most Indian dishes kind of taste the same. The servings were excellent. Only real con is that we arrive just before 4pm and were the only customers in the entire place. Our server was very nice and friendly but she didn’t come back to take our order until after two other tables were sat, ordered and served long after we had been sitting. By the time she took our order, the other table that came in way after us were finished eating. By the time we were served and finished, we were late for our next appointment. Other than that it was great and we will return.

This place is actually quite good, and I say actually because honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in.

I can’t remember the name of the server, but she was so friendly and fast especially for the restaurant being so busy! I ordered the butter chicken curry poutine, which was 10 times better than I thought it would be! Delicious crispy fries smothered in a beautiful buttery chicken curry sauce with plenty of cheese! You can tell right away that everything is made from scratch and extremely fresh. Every time I come here the food is amazing and the staff is so friendly!

I tried three bowls (tiki Marsala chicken, coconut curry chicken and mango curry chicken) and I couldn’t be more pleased. The smells were amazing. Went with a 2 of 5 for heat. Gave just the perfect mix of spicy but truly all flavor. Paired with the rice an naan, it was a meal that couldn’t be beat. $60, fed 7 people to the point of being full. I don’t say this often, and this is no exaggeration…BEST meal I’ve had in 20 years. Hands down. Try it, love it and don’t allow them to ever close this place down. 10/10 rating from myself and family.

We are huge Indian Food fans and while visiting Coeur D’Alene, we decided to try The Mango Tree based on the reviews. We went in and were seated immediately, but noticed that some of the other patrons that were seated were swatting away flies. Upon seating we immediately realized why; the flies were insufferable, flying around the windows, landing on our legs, table, buzzing around our heads, etc. We had already placed our order, but decided that there were just too many flies so changed it to a “to go” order. After all, I didn’t pay $60.+ for Dinner for 2 people to constantly swat flies. While we waited for our food and swatted away flies (with the rest of the patrons), I could only assume that the kitchen staff had the back door propped open and images of what the kitchen must look like since so many flies were in the customer side of the restaurant. We got our food and left, but just to confirm my suspicion, decided to drive around back – sure enough, the back door to the kitchen was propped open, no screen and the door is right next to the dumpster… When we got back to our hotel room we tried our food. The Vegetable Korma didn’t taste quite right, and the color was off, not what we expected at all. I also ordered the Butter Chicken – which was more like chicken in tomato soup than butter chicken. I’ll pass next time and I recommend that you do the same.

First time for me not my first time for my daughter and her family, had a great meal. The portions were spectacular very authentic flavors. The only issue we had was tables not being balanced other than posters leveling them out under the legs and by the end of our meal as the place got busier the smoke from the kitchen sort of flowed into the restaurant dining room area which irritated the eyes of both kids. We had to leave quickly as washing their eyes in the bathroom didn’t resolve the irritants. Possible Vent cleaning more often may resolve that but overall the waitresses the hostess everything else was great.

I Love the food here! Everything always tastes fantastic. Plus, the wait staff are always so nice! This is a must for every palate because they will drop the spice level or raise it up depending ding on your preference. Garlic Naan is amazing!

I was pleased to find several vegan options on the menu. We had 3 different main items, but none of them wowed us. Their samosas, though, were huge and very yummy. The mint sauce was very good. It was our server’s first day and she was so sweet. She just needs to learn their menus before telling people they don’t have something…. when it’s clearly written on the menu :).
