Family of five ate here recently. I did not like the sweet vinegar bbq sauce on my burger. One of us had the meat platter and some of the meats were also strangely seasoned. It’s a matter of preference I know. Overall the food was good, but it could be great with some tweaking.
Atmosphere is nice though we were tormented by aggressive flies inside the entire time and had to cover all of our plates with napkins to keep them from making love to our grub.

We enjoyed The Malt so much! We have already decided we are going to stop there again on our way back through to Yellowstone later this summer.
Great spot to stop if you have kids or dogs. We were able to eat outside on the patio with shaded umbrellas and a water bowl was even provided for our dogs. They have many kids menu options to choose from.
The food was amazing and so was the service. Welcomed at the door, helped us navigate our dogs to a good spot, and even brought us a dog bowl.
A bit random, but their bathroom is really cool! It also includes a diaper changing station and a stool for kids to reach the sink to wash their hands. It’s the small things that count!

We ate here on 9/16/24. The grilled buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were real good per my wife. The sliced smoked brisket sandwich had great flavor but should have been left on the smoker longer and maybe been trimmed up a little more before smoking, in my opinion. Too much chewey and too hard to chew fat and connective tissue in the brisket for me. Good selection of beer. You walk in the door, place your order, and they bring it to you. It’s fast efficient service.

Stopped by The Malt after hiking in Medicine Bow NF and hitting the hot springs in town. It certainly hit the spot.
The firewater burger was well balanced with fresh ingredients and high quality well-seasoned beef. The complimentary selection of sauces was impressive too, the coconut Bbq sauce was excellent.
Staff were very friendly, service was quick, and they were very attentive to ensuring my experience was good.

I travel a lot for work and this was some of the tastiest food I’ve had in a long time on the road. Very reasonable prices for what you get and the staff were all very nice. I had and highly recommend the half rack of ribs and house made potato chips. The truffle fries are also amazing. Eat here. You won’t regret it.

Incredible burger and shakes. Next trip is the brisket for sure. Really great atmosphere and if you are into whiskeys this place has a great selection of high quality stuff at great prices. It’s worth the 20 minute drive off I-80.

Visiting Saratogo on 9/27/24 and stopped by because of the supposed 4.6 reviews.
The brisket was tough as a boot. Ribs were ok, but not that great. Sides were meh.
The killer was the service. Sat at the bar and the blonde woman was working the bar and didn’t even bother to greet us. Actually got our food before she even said hi. She said you are supposed to order drinks at the cashier???? I’ve been to thousands of bars and never heard of this.
I suppose if you are a local this could be an ok place if you know what to order.
