Now they’ve got mamá cooking lunch… so good. Real home-cooked Puerto Rican food. No shortcuts, just pure flavor.
Plenty of space, great location, and the owners are super kind.
¡Avanza! ☺️

This is the only restaurant I’ve ever taken by daughter to that did not have a high chair. Restaurants are not required to supply high chairs, but every restaurant I’ve ever seen does as a courtesy except for this one. They do have a booster seat but that isn’t the same for the littlest children. Maybe that’s their way of saying they don’t want little kids here, we certainly won’t go back with my daughter. Our first visit here was for date night and it was excellent, our second was with my daughter and it was a bit more challenging.
Food here is delicious and staff is wonderful and attentive so as long as you aren’t traveling with small kids that need a high chair, I’d definitely recommend it. If you are bringing a youngster that needs a high chair, I’d suggest you go elsewhere.
I had such a wonderful time at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, and the food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being overwhelming, our service AB it’s a perfect example of excellence in the restaurant industry. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this restaurant truly did. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience! ~Mel~
They need to open a Miami location.
We trusted the staff’s recommendations and ordered the Escobar roll and the Plantain roll, and both were outstanding. Beautifully crafted, bold flavors, and perfectly balanced—each bite was pure enjoyment.
For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, and it was delicious. Creamy, perfectly caramelized, and the ideal way to end the meal. We didn’t leave a single thing on the table—everything was that good.
The service was excellent from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and consistently present without being intrusive. They also offer beer, which is definitely a plus and pairs nicely with the sushi.
I recommend this place 100%, and we will absolutely be coming back. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves creative, well-executed sushi with a Caribbean touch.
