The service was impeccable and fast we were seated immediately. The food options were limited but good, the drinks were amazing. The food was so good it was like I was lifted out of my chair and spiritually high-fived god then kissed Jupiter. I honestly I have nothing bad to say please check this place out if you’re looking for a good brunch spot cause this should be your number ONE choice!

The Majestic Grille was an absolute treat. The restaurant is large yet incredibly cozy, with a wonderful old-time charm that immediately sets the mood. Silent movies play on a huge screen, which adds a unique and nostalgic touch—especially fitting since the restaurant is located in a beautifully restored old theater. To make the atmosphere even better, there was an amazing soundtrack of old jazz music playing throughout the evening, which perfectly complemented the setting and really transported you back in time.
The food was just as impressive as the ambiance. I had the ribs and my husband ordered the salmon, and both dishes were absolutely delightful. Everything was full of flavor and served in generous portions. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish—we would happily return.

Reservation & Arrival:
Reservations are recommended, particularly for dinner, as the restaurant gets busy. The process was smooth, and we were seated without delay. Valet parking is available for $12, which is convenient. There is also parking directly opposite the restaurant, but it was significantly more expensive at $30, so valet is the more practical option.
Ambience & Service:
The ambience is elegant and old-school, with a historic charm that fits well with downtown Memphis. Service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions.
Food:
We started with the barbecued grilled oysters, which were a highlight. The oysters were well-cooked, smoky, and flavorful, with a rich barbecue profile that didn’t overpower the natural taste. A great starter for seafood lovers.
For the main course, we ordered the harissa grilled chicken. The chicken was tender and well-grilled, with a subtle heat from the harissa that added depth without being too spicy. The flavors were balanced, and the dish felt hearty and satisfying.
Overall Experience:
Majestic Grille delivers a solid dinner experience with good food, a polished atmosphere, and reliable service. It’s a good choice for a relaxed dinner, special occasion, or when you want to experience a more classic Memphis dining spot

Loved coming here for brunch. Choices of outdoor seating or indoor. Great decor and ambiance. Service was great. Only drawback is included gratuity in our bill. We prefer to tip on cash.

Visited with a fellow UK friend and thoroughly enjoyed the chicken curry soup, and calamari. I had been put off calamari years ago, but this was absolutely delicious! The BEST part was the deep fried lemon. It was lightly battered and still had a sourness to it as one would expect from a lemon. There were also lightly battered jalapeños which, although neither of us would choose to snack on jalapeños, we devoured every single one between us. The chicken curry soup was incredible, definitely an award winner IMO. I chose the tuna steak with rice and veggies, and my friend chose a full rack of ribs with fries. The tuna steak was cooked perfectly, the vegetables were seasoned beautifully, and the rice cooked just right with a delicious flavour to it. My friend said that the ribs were very tender, fell off the bone, the fries were well seasoned, and he thoroughly enjoyed the dish. The portion sizes were both more than enough, but we ate until we could eat no more. For dessert, we tried the chocolate pudding and lemon meringue cheesecake. The chocolate pudding was dense and rich, but not too heavy. The lemon meringue cheesecake was absolutely divine. Creamy, lemony, and zesty with a slight tang and a wonderful, slightly crunchy base.

Chris was a very attentive and helpful server, especially when we had questions. He also talked easily about our UK heritage, and did a fantastic job of providing information when we needed it, without being pushy.
We also appreciated being given time between courses to decide what we would like for the next course.

Overall, the recommendation from a friend who is a Memphis native was absolutely spot on. I highly recommend making the Majestic Grille your place to visit, whether it’s for a business dinner, casual meal with a friend/friends, or a date. All seem to be welcome and accommodated. Thank you, Majestic!

Had a lovely brunch here with family today and it was wonderful. I wasn’t too hungry, so I contented myself with a cup of tomato-basil soup. I virtually inhaled it – it had a certain smokiness I’ve never had in other iterations. Utterly delicious. Hubs had the shrimp & grits, and he *never* raves about his meals. This one he did – he said it had an unctuous mouth-feel and was the best shrimp & grits he’s ever had. (Call me surprised listening to him rave about his meal.) My cousin had Cæsar salad with blackened shrimp – again, so, so yummy. Our server Timothy took very good care of us, friendly and attentive without hovering. If you find yourself walking past, do not pass ‘Go,’ do not collect $200, just go inside for Memphis deliciousness.

I ordered a to go Majestic burger at 4:20 and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes later, I handed my card to Jacob and told him to add 20%. He told me there was already a charge added & I answered well if it’s not 20% you can add the difference. He told me I could just sign. When I got home and looked at the receipt, Jacob was talking about a to go charge being added of 2.40 for all the care & containers they use for your meal. He could have added an extra 1.10 but decided not to, for reasons I can’t imagine.
The Cheddar burger was good and parmesan fries plentiful. The 15 min quote was off 8 mins. making this to-go 23 mins. long. The restaurant looked almost half full. Everyone was quite pleasant with 1 party of 3 waiting and an empty bar with 2 bartenders.

Took a group of nine to the majestic grill for a business dinner and we all had a great meal. The steak with peppercorn and Irish bourbon dip was delicious and so we’re the cabin chicken egg rolls… So good we had to order a second helping!

My coworkers and I went here for a welcome lunch for a new employee. The service was goof, and the food was 7/10 overall. I opted for a ceasar salad and added fried chicken but the reviews for my coworkers particularly those who ordered salmon was mixed.
The ambiance is great and with the live movies and Christmas decor it’s definitely a selling point and a reason to visit.

My husband and I went for date night and had the best time. Hector was absolutely amazing especially when he made me blue cheese stuffed olives for my extra dirty martini! The food was delicious and the vibes were right for a random date night!
