Excellent customer service skills, however…the crab legs were absolutely horrible. Once you crack them open, there was a taste that I could not explain. The taste was so bad, I literally cried at my kitchen table trying to eat them because I was so hungry and couldn’t stand the sour musty taste. There was a mothball taste to the crab meat, as if they’d been soaking in mothball water for weeks. I pray I don’t get sick tomorrow.

I have to say I was very skeptical. When you walk in you have to order at the counter and pay. That makes it hard to figure out a tip. I thought there was going to be a language barrier but it wasn’t bad. We ordered and sat down. Wondering if it was going to take awhile for the food but we only waited for 10 minutes. The food smelled amazing but still being skeptical, we dove in. Wow! The garlic appeared overwhelming. But I have to say it was really good!! We could have used some crackers or a fork. You get scissors. We will go here again because the food was good and the service was good! But will bring our own crackers.

After waiting an hour at Red Lobster, without any service, my family and I left. Still wanting seafood, we decided on The Mad Crab down the street. Boy, was that a good choice! We were greeted by Nick, who was a complete pleasure. He got our order, conversated with us, and saved us an unpleasant evening. The seafood boils were massive! There were 2 clusters of crab legs, potatoes, an ungodly amount of shrimp, sausage, corn, and egg. Each of our orders was seasoned to our specs. And the price was super reasonable. If you need your seafood fix, try The Mad Crab.

My family and I tried this place because it was VERY good a couple years ago. We went in recently and it was the total opposite. Under new management, counter order service style, gumbo was terrible and absolutely no seasoning in it, it was so bad I gagged eating it. Boil bags were WAY TO OVER PRICED the cheapest bag was $45 and that’s for one person. Then it jumps to $58 a bag. You have to add stuff priced per item just to get the real boil bag experience.

I ate dinner here last week. The atmosphere is bright and airy. Service is good. Food had good flavor but the shrimp was tough and overcooked. The crab was good. For the price, I’d expect better…ie the shrimp cooked appropriately.
