Went in for the first time last night. The bartender Ally was very friendly and attentive. I had the 8oz tenderloin and mac and cheese. Both were delicious. I would probably go with the 6oz next time. My friend got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. I will be having that next time. I will definitely be going back in the future. Beverages were cool and refreshing.

Fantastic food, low prices and great service. The Local Shoe (homemade tenderloin covered in cheese fries) was awesome. It was $10 and I had enough to bring home for another meal. Beer was cheap and they had a huge selection.

The food is actually worth 5 stars. Very good burger and fries. I rated it so low because I am type 1 diabetic and placed my order. I ordered a diet Coke with my meal. After I drank it and the waitress came back and asked if I wanted another Coke, I said sure, but it’s Diet Coke. I thought it tasted strange, but I don’t usually drink that much soda to really tell the difference. Anyway, she apologized and brought us our food and a glass of water. I had to eat my burger without a bun and had to send the fries back as my total carb limit for the meal was met with the regular Coke. Upon receiving the bill, I was still charged for the fries I didn’t eat and the soda she messed up. Realizing her mistake, she jokingly asked “are you going to die”? No, but I will need to dial more insulin in from pump and check my sugar more frequently for the night. Again, honest mistake, but handled poorly. Food and atmosphere are definitely worth the trip back, will ask for a different server.

I usually enjoy coming to the Local. Good food. Cold beer. Decent prices. Tonight, service was ridiculous. Really slow. And kitchen was so slow, it took over 2 hours for food. I expected more, considering there was only 2 tables occupied in whole place.

If you ever get the chance to eat at the Local on Bartonville Illinois don’t pass it up. Food is delicious. Ask for Aunt Joyce you won’t be disappointed. She was awesome. Made us feel like family and the service was awesome.

First off i want to state i used to rave about this resturant! So when my family and i decided to go there tonight you could imagine the disappointment of mine when our experince was very very horrible! First off our server never checked on us my daughter was waiting with out a drink for at least 15 mins, she finally got a refill once our appitzers were brought out. Our appitzers were fine great as usual the problem we had was after that! My side salad was not brought out for 20 mins after we got our appitizers, at this time our server informed us that our food would be right up that our ticket was behind a 8 top, 15 more mins pass so i go up to the manager and ask where our food was he said it was coming out right away. Our server then comes to our table and tells us she forgot to put in our ticket and that it will be up shortly. The manager then helped delivery our food and informed us that the fish my son ordered took 20 mins to order, my daughter then asked for a side of mayo and ranch to eat her food 10 mins passed and it was never brought out nor did the server come back to check on us. When she did come back she asked my daughter why she didnt eat her food she stated that she was waiting for her sides but decided to just get a to go container, the server then told us she was off today because she was hungover from the night before, she told us she would get her manager to take something off the bill. The server brought the ticket and waited at our table till my daughter paid, my daughter asked if she was expected to pay full price and the server goes well yes, but if you would like i could go ask my manger to discount something. With everything that had happened my daughter said it wasnt worth it. so 70 dollars later we still didnt have dinner, we got told 3 different stories why our food took 40 mins, and no one seemed to care that we had complaints. I will not be visiting this resturant for quite a while if ever again, we took a 20 min drive to come eat there and it was not worth the time by any means.
