I’ve gone to Hylan Blvd Lobster House for decades and recently ate at the Lobster House by Outerbridge which was fantastic. The Freehold Lobster House was not like the other two. Higher prices and less on the menu. Nice staff and place but just not like the Staten Island Lobster Houses. Food was delicious, as you would expect from Lobster House. Too expensive and not a lot of choices.

Amazing food, vast menu with a lot of options. Service was lacking but the food was good. My second time visiting and second time I had the lobster it wasn’t Divine this time around a little chewy but it good.

I definitely recommend this restaurant. My mom and I just happened to be out there. We were out in Freehold and my mom wanted to eat somewhere different. I googled lobster and this was the first suggestion. We tried it and LOVED it. Then had to drive back; that was that kicker. I definitely need to find a reason to be out that way again. The dining atmosphere was great, they were playing Motown hits that day and we had a great time sitting and listening. The establishment was very clean and the service was amazing. The food was exceptional. So fresh, so delicious, so flavorful, so well-presented. You all must go check this place out.

We had a great time for Mother’s Day lunch. Service was great and food was even better. The food portions were very big. I think most of us took some home. We went with a party of 8 and was able to bring our own wine. We will definitely go back again.

My husband and I had a great dinner and overall experience last night at the Lobster house. We were promptly sat at our outside table as we requested when making our reservation on Open table. The atmosphere was super relaxed, the oldies music playing in the background was perfect. Service was quick and our waitress was super friendly, food was SO good (including dessert )and fairly priced for seafood. BYOB is always a big plus! This was our first time at the restaurant but we will definitely be back!

This was our first time here. The place is low key. Nice atmosphere..its BYOB like most places in Jersey we started with a lobster bisque and a crab soup..both excellent. The crab soup was rich and flavorful..my wife had the stuffed shrimp which she enjoyed. I had the lobster risotto..which was FANTASTIC..we will definitely be going back.

Looks like a typical quaint northeastern seafood shack in Maine. Service was excellent ! Food was wonderful! Price was a good value for the meal. It was our first time there but will definitely return. If you like lobster and dont want to fight the shore traffic this is your place to go….

I’ve come here a few times for the lunchtime lobster special, and it’s great food at a great value. My friend usually gets several extras, such as the shrimp cocktail, and I love their lobster bisque soup. Their desserts are to die for. It’s very informal and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The worst seafood I’ve ever had. I was shocked how bad it was – couldn’t finish the New England Clam Chowder as it was tasteless and was more like mud than a creamy clam chowder. The Manhattan Clam Chowder was spicy but tasted more like a Bloody Mary rather than a spicy soup. My stuffed shrimp of which they only give you 4 medium sized shrimp was horrible – it def. tasted like defrosted shrimp – the crab mix they stuffed into it was watery and had no taste. The Mozzarella and Zucchini Sticks we ordered were definitely out of a bag and just deep fried. I was shocked when we got the $150 bill – literally only 3 dinners, 3 soups, 2 appetizers and a few non-alcoholic drinks. If this meal cost less than $50 it would be more palatable (well it still wouldn’t taste good) but for $150 it should have been top notch seafood. Have no idea how a restaurant that is this expensive and has such poor quality food stays in business.

Have eaten there several times before. Food & selections are good and prices are fair. The recent night we were there was extremely noisy due to several large parties in attendance. Very plain interior with no noise damping material. Tables are close together making it difficult to carry on a conversation, especially when large parties are going on. Will go there again in the future & hope that things will be quieter then.
