Sitting outside overlooking Champlin’s marina is a great place to be while dining at the landing. Reservations are taken, but seating was not guaranteed outside, so we chose to go on the earlier side and get a table on the porch. The food is very good and so are the portions. Their bar is fully stocked, and they had a nice specialty cocktail list along with a small but nice wine list. Maybe on the next visit, they can hit 5 stars reading some of their reviews.

Food was very enjoyable. Friendly waitstaff. Knocking off a star due to the disgusting state of the bathrooms (shared with the pool area) and being expected to use same cutlery for appetizer and entree. At $150 for before tip (1 shared appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 drinks), this is on the higher price.

The views from the outdoor patio seating are some of the best on the island!! The service was quick and our server and all of the wait staff were fantastic and so kind. The calamari and smoked bluefish dip was delicious. The salmon was some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!!

Coming back to The Landing for a second time, I’m pleased to report it was just as brilliant as the first! I got the Wagyu Burger and my wife got the Duck, burger was cooked perfectly and the bite I had of the duck was delicious! Big thank you to bartender Bobby for the tasty drinks he made while we were waiting for a table, and a big thank you to Val our server as well. Would definitely come back a third time!

We went for dinner over July 4th weekend. This restaurant is seriously underrated. The food was excellent. The portions were good (cannot be said of other restaurants on block). The lobster mac and cheese was unanimously named the best anyone at our table has ever had. This place has a great view of the salt pond. The service was also good and the manager was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Frutti di Mare best ever. Strong fresh seafood stock which is very unusual. Our Very highest recommendation.
Eggplant parmigiana amazingly again our very highest recommendation.
Mudslide fun – added caramel.
Only minor complaint is Gin honey too much lavender.
Very Nice deck on marina. Service excellent.

I do believe this is one of the best dinners we have had on Block Island. Three in our party had the swordfish special with lobster risotto that was prepared perfectly. I had the scallops that were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back.

We were told there would be a 1 hour wait. The dining room was empty. We didn’t complain, we waited one hour. At 8:15, we approached the hostess and asked about our table. She said, “I will be upfront, our fan just died ten minutes ago and there’s a chance we will close for the night.” I asked why we were never sat since the dining room was empty when we arrived an hour before, and remained empty. She stated, “we just can’t handle a party of 8.” We tried to call the oar who closes at 8:30 but with such short notice and it being so late, they didn’t answer the phone, which is understandable. Tbh, I doubt the fan broke, and even if it did, it’s 70 degrees. I’ve managed a restaurant for over 10 years and have empathy for hot kitchens, this was not a hot kitchen situation. Since we stayed in a boat and have no car, we need to eat from the food truck parked outside. The least they could have done was notify us at 8:05 when the fan “broke.” 100% unacceptable.

My partner who is well over 21 years old went to this bar last night and was denied entrance. All of her friends were good to enter but they made a big issue with her ID. They threatened to take her real license away which is definitely illegal to do. Especially since its her REAL ID. They didn’t even care to scan her ID to find out. I’d suggest finding better bouncers who actually know how to do their job for once.

Horrible service. I am well over 21 and came here with a group of people who are also well over 21. The bartenders tried to confiscate my REAL ID, attempted to peel my ID (possibly damaging it), and refused to serve me. I have never had issues with this and explained to them several times that it is my genuine identification that I NEED, but the refused to listen. I even suggested they scan the ID, but they said they don’t have any scanners. Luckily, I got my ID back, but I suggest the bartenders learn what real IDs look like and invest in an ID scanner.
