1st time visiting Thirsty Rooster! Not disappointed at all! Small town local bar but staff is super friendly even to the non-locals (us)! Food was fabulous for bar food! Had a double bacon cheeseburger, fries and cheese sauce. Hubs had the spicy chicken sandwich, onion rings and mini corn dogs. We each had ice tea and ALL of that was ONLY $32.50!!! Exceptionally clean and not torn up or ratty looking. Go check them out! We will again!

Very spacious and LOVE THAT DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER BABY!! The “TR” brings in top-notch bands, and I heard that they may be upgrading their large beer garden in order to host even larger venues during the warmer months. Excellent service to even “out of towner bar hoppers” like us.

We were getting together with family near Lincoln over the holidays and someone suggested checking out this new bar, The Thirsty Rooster. Some had been there when it was under previous ownership. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the place and friendliness of the staff. We even got to meet the new owners! It is a much bigger bar than we had expected and we understand that they are working on a menu and will be serving food soon. We only wish that we had one just like this one near our home in Champaign! We’ll definitely be back to party and check out the menu!

We went for the extreme bar bingo and we’re so disappointed. We ordered the chicken strips and they came back burnt. The mashed potatoes and corn were cold. The waitress/bartender argued with my grandma on what she order. She all but refuses to give her fries saying she ordered cheese curds which my grandma can’t eat. None of the food came out at the same time. Needless to say we won’t be going back again.
