We had a very nice Mother’s Day dinner at Lamplighter. We go out for dinner on three holidays a year and have for years. This was one of the very best we have found. There was a great variety of food…several cooked veggies, fresh fruit and veggies, two types of potatoes, pasta, baked fish, chicken and gravy, a carving station with ham, turkey, lamb, and prime rib, chilled shrimp, several types of salads including really good broccoli salad, a great cheese board with a bunch of different cheeses on the block, and a great dessert table including the Lamplighter’s wonderful pies. I’m sure I’m missing a few things, but you get the idea. There was enough variety for everyone to find something they loved. In addition, the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the Lamplighter Restaurant, and we will definitely be visiting again.

A popular local non-chain restaurant with good food. Our recent experience was a little out of the ordinary since we had a very large party so the service was a little slow. The food however was very good and quite hot considering the time it took to get our food. I had the fish which was good but those that had the stuffed pork chop raves about it. I would recommend this restaurant and not put a lot of weight the slower than normal service, I don’t believe that is the norm.

Kind of unique has a coffee shop menu and a restaurant menu. The food & service were great. Our waitress Teri guided us through the choices.

We just had our wedding here- ceremony and reception. It was perfect! Andrew went above and beyond for me in so many ways! I said what I wanted and it was done! I didn’t have to worry about anything. The food was delicious! Everything was beautiful!! Thank you to all the staff- Brittany, Gary, Dinah, Lynn, Lisa, Barry and Daniel and many more!

Very fast, kind and friendly service. I used the ‘drive thru’ and just can’t beat the price for homemade food instead of fast food – and it came with dessert. Had Veal Parmesan for the first time. Will visit again.

First time here. Waitress was great. Fish was really good. A friend had liver and onions, and she said it was good!

Saw a dinner theater production. Murder Mystery. Spacious room, clean but older restrooms, 8 oz. water glasses (throw back), dated but thats okay. It gives this place charm. The food was VERY good. Pleasant and attentive staff. BTW the Murder Mystery they offer was so much fun!!

4-1-23. I feel like the Lamplighter played an April’s Fool’s Day joke on me and our group!! Food was subpar and it went downhill from there. A few friends had fish and couldn’t finish because it had a ‘old’ taste. One person in the group had a baked potato…. no butter or sour cream. A chicken dish was supposed to have mushrooms, peppers and onions. When she asked where the mushrooms were they said they should be in there. The waitress looked and no mush. Waitress brought a small dis of mushrooms and said the woman could add them. Several people had vegetables. The vegetables were I cold. They took all the side dishes back and brought one bowl and told them to pass them around. The final straw , all of us had a $5 cover charge for the music. When I called, no one said there was a cover charge. There was no sign when you entered saying cover charge. The music was even advertised… no mention about cover charge. I spoke to the manager and said if I was told there was a cover charge, I would have paid it. It’s the principal of it. They were sneaky by never mentioning the charge. They said I should have asked. I haven’t heard of cover charges for years. The singer we went to see we’ve gone to at least 5 other restaurants and never had a cover charge. So to sum it up.. bad food, poor service, rude management and a secret cover charge. There are 8 of us who will never go there again. If you’re wise, you’ll head my advice. One star because you can’t post with zero stars.

I was here for a breakfast buffet. The food was good and the selection of items was excellent. The restaurant is older and that makes it unique and interesting which you don’t see every day. The staff was kind and helpful.
