The lamplighter team hosted a wonderful banquet for our friends and family. Convenient location, good food, fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. Thanks!

Update: It not the 83 cents, it’s the entitlement associated with not bothering to returning it. It should have gone to our server, but it ended up with the cashier supposedly. Our server seemed also surprised. Also if the cashier cannot be counted on to provide correct change, perhaps they are not the one for the job.

Just returned from a group Christmas dinner. The food was fine and our server worked hard to make sure everyone was taken care of, but what should have been a good memory went askew when it came time for the bill.

Everything but drinks was paid for in advance. I decided to have a ginger ale and received a bill for $3.17. I put a $50 to the bill and awaited my change. The server finally returns and hands me $46. I must have looked at it strangely since she asked if it was correct. I told her no-I was planning on leaving her the change plus $1 but it appeared that the change was missing. So instead of me leaving her a modest tip on a $3 charge, someone there assumed they were entitled to the $.83 and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. If you go count your change.

Staying at the Holiday Inn behind the restaurant, walked on down for a late breakfast meal. Great breakfast and the chef didn’t have any grill burns on the eggs. Their bread is great, breakfast service great. Give them a five.

Went back for dinner, wanted a meatloaf with gravey & potatoes. Believe they secured the meat from Wendys that is located across the street. The gravey was cold along with the mash potatoes.

Therefore the overall rating for food two stars.

The servers are GREAT.

I stopped in for lunch around noon with a coworker. There were 10 – 15 people enjoying there meals. I ordered a 1/4 lb burger with fries. The burger was small & the fries were fresh cut and slightly undercooked. My friend had the meatloaf sandwich with hash browns and gravy. He said it was delicious. The restaurant was kinda dusty and dark.

I came to the Craftshow at the Lamplighter on Friday Nov. 14 and visited the restaurant for lunch. I ordered the hit turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and waited probably 20 minutes or more. It came cold. I had to call over another waitress because mine disappeared. She put it in the microwave and it was still cold. They made me a fresh plate that was brought to me by my original waitress who said sorry but didn’t sound genuine. it was barely warm. I had to ask another waitress to refill my water. She asked me how it was. I told her I’d take it home and hest it cause apparently you guys can’t get it hot. She offered me complimentary pie. Meanwhile the manager walked by several times and never said a word. My waitress came with the check and said sorry bout your food but at least you got free pie. Very poor serve.

A popular local non-chain restaurant with good food. Our recent experience was a little out of the ordinary since we had a very large party so the service was a little slow. The food however was very good and quite hot considering the time it took to get our food. I had the fish which was good but those that had the stuffed pork chop raves about it. I would recommend this restaurant and not put a lot of weight the slower than normal service, I don’t believe that is the norm.

This place used to be good.Sadly it has deteriorated immensely. I went there with my dad who is eighty six and we were kept waiting forty five minutes for the check.People hardly came to our table. The head waitress kept complaining about how busy it was multiple times and how there was no dishwasher, clearly their understaffed and overworked.I asked for a manager. The manager just kept cleaning tables and refused to come see me being very passive.Aggressive, I went to go get her an argument ensued.I’m very disappointed.I used to like this place and took my dad there today as a special treat.Sadly it went badly wrong

Banquet room was okay, it was spacious but the dessert selection was limited. The soft drink bar tender (a teenage boy) was a bit slow, and would not take into account who was waiting for drinks first. I also found it hard to navigate the restaurant due to its size. I would like to explore the menu, but on first impressions it was middle of the road.

I was here for a breakfast buffet. The food was good and the selection of items was excellent. The restaurant is older and that makes it unique and interesting which you don’t see every day. The staff was kind and helpful.

The only drawback was that the coffee was very weak ☕.

Despite the bad coffee I would consider coming here again if I was visiting the area.

Thanksgiving buffet. Poor organization. Everyone crowded into a so called line with many guests jumping the line because their reservation was at 2pm when most of us in line had 145 reservation, we were seated after 215. One host taking care of a line out the door. Because of everyone crowding into the space, those leaving had difficulty getting out. The food was good, but nothing spectacular for $40 per person plus 20% gratuity.
