Hands down one of the best seafood restaurants I have ever been to. It easily falls in my top 5 and is a must if you love seafood.

The smoked fish dip was great. The oysters as fresh and can be and shucked perfectly with no shells in the 3 dozen plus I ate. The hushpuppies were great. The shrimp burger great. Are you catching the theme here? But hands down, the best thing was the grilled oysters! Let me just say I am generally a fan of my oysters raw, but these came recommended and I gave them a shot. Thank god I did because they were out of this world.

So how good is The Jones Oyster Co. overall? So good that I would go out of my way to go back to Greenville just to eat there again. Amazing spot!

Tuesday was my last full day in South Carolina because I had a flight to catch the following. My license trainer from BMW recommended this spot.

Only thing I regret was not ordering a full batch of hush puppies!!! I destroyed those four in seconds. I’ve never had hush puppies that good!, that seasoned!, and so flavorful in the east. It’s not in the photos because I ate it, and I even regret not having a picture to mesmerize .

The lobster roll (Connecticut) Was impeccable with their tartar sauce and coleslaw the bread held up perfectly with the commute. The fish and chips were crisp and just cooked perfectly and it doesn’t even stop there because I ordered their Key-lime pie and had it before my flight.(forgot to snap a pic) all I can say is that I need to go back somehow someday.

I didn’t get to sit in because I had to head to my hotel, but the ambience of the place was very beautiful. The staff were also a joy highly recommend. If I ever come back, I’m getting two batches of Cheddar Hutch puppies .

Came in for dinner on a weeknight, getting there right around 6PM they were pretty busy, but since it was just me, I got a seat at the bar. Service the entire stay was excellent and very attentive! They have a nice wine list, both by the bottle and by the glass; as well as a decent list of cocktails.

They had some interesting items on their seasonal menu, like the corn bisque, so I started with a bowl of it. The serving looked great and tasted pretty good. Next up was the entrée and since the fish of the day was sablefish, I opted for it blackened in a sandwich with fries.

When the sandwich came out, the fish was broken into two large chunks, which made it tough to eat on a sandwich without it falling apart. The bun and sauce was really good, so was the fish. The fries were soggy, like they needed to be par fried and then fried before service, but the flavor of the seasoning was really good on them.

Overall, it was a nice visit. I liked the food, even if the fries and sandwich weren’t served well. I’d most definitely return and can see why it’s a popular place. So much of the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.

Oh my goodness. What a wonderful find Jones Oyster is. Stopped by for a late lunch today. Very accommodating reception, super nice staff let us choose our seats and we luckily sat at the bar, closest to the kitchen so we could see staff and all the food coming out. Gorgeous food, large portions. I had half a dozen chilled oysters, then ordered a half dozen more. The best oysters I’ve had since Key West, super cold, no grit or shell – fantastic and they have a happy hour when oysters are half price. We also had the hush puppies, delish. We split the fish (cod) and fries and it’s plenty for two. Listening to the kitchen staff laugh and work together so well, I’m certain Jones is a great place to work. Icing on the cake was Emma, the bartender. Sweetest, most pleasant person ever. Highly recommend this place, next time I go I’ll also have a shrimp louie salad, it looked amazeballs.

Consistency is key and Jones Oyster Co. has that in spades. We had yet another phenomenal evening with Jones and on a busy Friday night, no less. Bella took our name and kept us updated on the progress of our wait with a kind smile and great energy. At the bar, Kelsey helped us get a pair of cocktails for us and then an order of french fries for our child as we waited and did so with the happiest of affectations. Once we were seated at the projected time, Christian and Arielle took phenomenal care of us with good insight to the menu and helped us enjoy a wonderful meal. We cannot recommend Jones enough!

OMG if you love oysters, Jones Oyster is an absolute must. The oysters are so fresh they taste like they were just pulled from the ocean like the shuckers somehow captured a hint of the Atlantic and dropped it right on the half shell. I go here every time I’m in Greenville, no question. You have to try the oyster shooters, and don’t sleep on the lobster roll, straight up delish. Honestly, you won’t go wrong with lunch or dinner here. The service is amazing and the food is just as good. So… what’re you waiting for? Head on over.

Had lunch at this trendy seafood restaurant. Not a lot of seating so time accordingly. I ordered a fried clam roll and salad. My friend ordered a lobster roll (with mayo, which in my opinion, is sacrilegious). They also offered lobster rolls with melted butter. Salad was very good as was the dressing. The clam roll was good, but I detected a hint of old bay in the batter. And they could put a few more whole bellies for the price. I counted 7-8. My friend said the lobster roll was good. I thought it lacked large chunks of lobster meat. They had a full house at lunch. I would probably not go back when in town, but overall, it was a good experience. I am a native Rhode Islander and put a high bar when it comes to seafood.

Best restaurant experience that I have had in a very long time! Everyone was so nice and accommodating to the kids also there was no wait. We got seated immediately in front of the window and our food came out quickly. The food was delicious (I had the lobster roll and the kids had fish nuggets) we even ordered some key lime pie. Oh the drink in the picture was an old fashioned and my kids both wanted the tree so the staff brought me another with a reindeer on it so both kids could have one. When we left one of the kids couldn’t find their reindeer but the staff found it and ran down the sidewalk after us and gave it too us. Absolutely insane service. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

My girlfriend and I loved this restaurant! The oysters were phenomenal! And the fries were SO GOOD! I could eat eat a bucket of them!

Trisha was our waitress and she was so friendly! She was kind enough to give us other recommendations for bakeries and restaurants during our stay in Greenville.

We would definitely come back in a heartbeat!

This was my first time here! I went on a Saturday, which was super busy. We had to wait for an hour, but it was worth it. I got seated at the bar, and the bartender was super friendly and welcoming.

We ordered a few things to share. The chef’s choice oysters were okay—some were a bit too bland for my taste. But the hush puppies are absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor.

For the main dish, we shared the Connecticut-style lobster rolls—and wow, they were amazing! The lobster was so fresh and sweet. If they used just a little less butter, it would have been perfect.

I’ll definitely be back to try more! ️
