Went to a banquet celebration and they put together a wonderful multi-course meal! Every dish was outstanding, especially the Peking duck, the lamb chops, and the pork ribs. The food came fast as well, it was hard to keep up with all the dishes arriving to our table. I left very full and satisfied. As Chinese restaurants go in the area, this is one of the best in terms of style of dishes available and quality. Highly recommend!

Love the dim sum and fried noodles at West Lake. Wish they can serve dim sum everyday!

Update – Went to West Lake for dinner this time with a big group of friends last night. All the dishes were so scrumptious and authentic. Great value and good service.

I want to say the food is a lot better now than pre Covid times. Pre Covid times the food was a hit and miss. Some dish would be very good and some would say what the hell is this. Today 1/1/2024 the dim sum and dinner was lot better than before. I noticed when going to dim sum the place is packed as ever before. The prices had gone up a lot and rose many times. This time we got 5 dishes and 4 out of 5 dishes we never tried there before. The shrimp with egg yolk was very unique and first time having it was very good. The spare ribs with plum sauce was excellent. Peking duck was ok not the place for it. The food there is very fresh compared to the other Chinese restaurants in Edison where the ingredients are not fresh. The other reviews that the food is bad I beg the differ. You should make your own judgement. This is the best authentic Chinese food in the area. If prices were better would go more often.

Amazing food, fast service and friendly staff. This spot turns into dim sum heaven on weekends. Hot tea to go with the meal. Fried flounder is tasty. All in all a perfect spot to get some tasty Chinese food with the wifey on a regular basis.

update 2: came here for dim sum on Father’s Day and place was packed. You know its authentic when 90% of the patrons are Asians. Dim sum was fresh, flavorful and well priced. For $45, this is a perfect weekend brunch.

This Cantonese style eatery delivers some pretty delicious food in the suburbs. My go-to destination when visiting Monmouth county.

Great Beijing pork chops, live fish and beef chow fun. The most authentic Cantonese food you’re going to find in this area. Family friendly – lots of kids and babies dining in. BYOB. We are from Hong Kong and have been coming here for 30 years. Lots of great family memories here. Decor hasn’t changed in 30 years but we don’t mind.

Tried this for dinner tonight and.. won’t be coming back at all. It was horrible. It claims authentic Chinese food but I guess that means dried out & no taste whatsoever. I ordered over the phone for pickup. I ordered a large pork fried rice & requested $ 2.00 extra pork. Also ordered a chicken and broccoli entree along with the steamed shrimp dumplings and an egg roll. When I picked it up I asked the lady why she told me $ 16.95 for the rice over the phone? I didn’t ask her what the cost was. She said because they only sell a large quart for $ 16.95 and most people complain about the cost so she wanted to make sure I knew it was for a large size. I also said that with my request for $ 2.00 extra pork, that yes, spending $ 18.00 for fried rice was outrageous. Especially when the chicken and broccoli was
$ 17.95. I told her it didn’t make sense that a chicken dish was almost the same as the pork fried rice. She didn’t respond. I got home, opened it all up and started eating. The chicken & broccoli was horrible. The chicken was like something I never had before I know it couldn’t have been chicken. Then the pork fried rice…. I ASKED FOR EXTRA PORK … it didn’t even have a regular portion of pork ! I barely saw pork ! And it was totally dried out rice. Terrible. Lastly the egg roll was burnt and way over cooked. Tasted like a hockey puck. To top it off, the bill was $ 46.95 for those 4 items. DO NOT GO HERE.
