If I could give over five stars I would. I have been coming here for years with my family (who are from India). If you want authentic amazing Indian food this is the place. Hands down the best in Toledo. The owner has become a wonderful friend to our family over the years. The place is always clean, the staff is always great, and the food is always excellent. Highly Recommend!

Love this restaurant. Usually a little slow but I expect it’s because of under staffing, which we all understand these days. My only criticism is when you order something mild, it’s never mild. It used to be! Lately, however, I order extra-mold and it’s still much hotter than it used to be. Otherwise delicious, and great vegan options. I do think next time I’ll order ZERO on the heat level.

We decide to try this restaurant because we had so much fun reading the restaurant answer to the mean reviews, we thought, let’s go and see who is right , well our experience was pleasant, the service was a little slow due to the shortage of staff, but the waiter inform us from the beginning that our food may take a while and ask us if that was ok with us, so we stayed and I think it was worth it, the food was really good very tasteful and was presented beautifully. We are definitely coming back even if we have to wait again for our food to be ready. We read on the reviews that the tip was included on the bill but this is not true so don’t forget to tip your waiter!

I used to love the Jewel and have been a loyal customer for years and sent many people here. Lately the service has become much worse- tonight our waitress mixed up our dishes with another table and then brought the dish from the other table that they had already taken food out of and didn’t offer to make a new one. We then realized the second dish was wrong too and instead of making a new one, they just added peas and spices and tried to pretend like it was a different dish. They did not offer anything to compensate for this and I was very surprised and disappointed by this whole experience. It’s unfortunate because I used to really love this place

We went here for our anniversary, ambiance was good. Small dining room so only one server was working. Authentic Indian cuisine and spices that takes us back to home. Also had a wonderful server (Sima) who was always checking to make sure we were satisfied. Will definitely be seeing us again!

We visited The Jewel of Toledo for our adult daughter’s birthday. The food was amazing. The wait staff, Jay and Dev, were friendly, helpful and great servers. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The restaurant is small and elegant. If you haven’t had Indian food before, be forewarned that it is very spicey! It tastes great but it’s spicey. I would recommend getting mild spice for your first time. You can always add more spice. This advice was not followed by our 16-year-old grandson who bit off more than he could chew, literally.
