The Jalapeno Tree is a family owned full service restaurant with a passion for Crazy Good Mexican Food. We strive to create a family friendly environment with a focus on fresh food, quality ingredients and exemplary service. Celebrating over 25 years of business has allowed our Pepper Posse team to create unique food experiences using fresh, healthy ingredients in a made to order scratch kitchen. While fajitas remain a local favorite, items like our Summer Salmon Salad with fresh watermelon, oranges, pineapple, and salmon over a bed of greens provide refreshing options. We know rice and beans are a must for Mexican Food but, we like to change things up with offerings of squash/zucchini, tortilla soup, and Key West veggies as optional sides

Great place good food made by my coworkers here.. but heads up always crowded. So be prepared for a long wait. Service is awesome with Hannah. Tortillas made by Ms. Nelda (know her personally). Food prepared by my friend Natalia in the kitchen on the line. Try the fried shrimp tacos with fresh mangos. Thank me later. Don’t get it twisted either my ex Manager gets down on the floor and in the kitchen (Mrs. Angie). Last but not least my bartender that had them drinks rolling on a busy first Monday weekend. The place was packed for weekday lunch. Our server set the bar for personable, attentive hospitality. She was highly anticipative of our needs. I ordered the lunch beef fajitas. The set-up plate was better portioned than many Mexican restaurants, and the fajitas were well-seasoned. The fresh-tasting salsa was delicious with a slight kick (I’d prefer hotter, though). They offered charo, refried, and black bean side options. The house tortillas were thick, warm, and well-made. A satisfying road trip stop!

Our party normally enjoys this location but on our last visit things went south. I wrote a review 24-Jun on the J-Tree site, and that store manager called me in hours. Many apologies, excuses, BUT to this day has NOT offered any coupons or discounts to cause us to return. The over-priced meal and bar drinks were terrible. There are FAR too many GOOD Mexican restaurants in the area to return to this one on I-20. The location is the ONLY reason they are busy.
